Scarlett Johansson Breaks Silence on Explosive Baldoni-Reynolds-Lively Feud Ahead of Cannes Premiere
She is less than six degrees of separation away from the It Ends With Us drama.
Currently, Scarlett Johansson is opening up about collaborating with a significant figure in the production – Justin Baldoni, who, through his production company Wayfarer Studios, contributed to financing her directorial debut titled “Eleanor The Great.
I’m utterly engrossed in the unfolding drama between my idol, Baldoni, and the remarkable Blake Lively, who’s embroiled in a significant legal dispute over our upcoming movie “It Ends with Us.” To add fuel to the fire, Ryan Reynolds, previously Scarlett’s husband for three years, has found himself unwittingly entangled in this intricate web of events.
In a conversation with Vanity Fair, Johansson, aged 40, responded with a hearty, acknowledging chuckle when asked about Baldoni, who is 41. This seems to be a typical reaction given the high-profile nature of their ongoing disagreement, as reported by the magazine.
Actress from the film “Her” hasn’t had a chance to meet Baldoni because he was deeply involved in the creation of “It Ends With Us”. Nevertheless, she found his team to be extremely helpful during the production of her own movie.
According to Johansson, they provided unwavering support during the entire ordeal. However, she also mentioned that the timing was quite peculiar.

In 2008, Johansson tied the knot with Reynolds, aged 48, but their marriage ended in 2011. Now, she is set to unveil her film at the Cannes Film Festival, which takes place on May 20th.
The film features June Squibb, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht, and Erin Kellyman, and it tells the story of an elderly woman from Florida, aged 91, who cultivates a friendship with a young adult, 19, residing in New York City.
Although the movie is set to debut at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival shortly, it was recently disclosed that Baldoni won’t attend the premiere event.
According to reports from DailyMail.com, Baldoni is expected to miss the premiere of Eleanore the Great at Cannes.
Wayfarer Studios intends to keep advocating for this movie and will be actively involved in the event, providing support to the actors and crew.
These developments arise with apprehensions that Johansson’s first feature directorial project might get ‘eclipsed’ due to the ongoing drama between her ex-spouse Reynolds and Lively, who is currently promoting her latest film, “Another Simple Favor.
Despite the fact that his film is in competition, Baldoni has opted to take a step back from the event due to ongoing legal disputes between him and Reynolds & Lively regarding their movie “It Ends With Us.
According to reports, Amelia Suggestive has claimed that both Aiden Baldoni and CEO Jamey Heath of Wayfarer have been involved in sexual harassment, and furthermore, she asserts that she was subjected to a malicious smear campaign prior to the release of It Ends With Us.
In a committed stance, I found myself taking legal action for defamation, amounting to $400 million, directed towards Lively, Reynolds, and The New York Times. They had initially shared a report that contained my initial accusation against them.

According to insider reports, Wayfarer and Baldoni parted ways with their agency due to escalating turmoil, allegedly causing him to lose approximately three job opportunities and potentially hundreds of millions of dollars, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Towards the end of last month, renowned lawyer Lisa Bloom explained to DailyMail.com that the intense media attention surrounding the conflict might inadvertently impact Scarlett Johansson’s upcoming film.
In relation to Scarlett Johansson’s latest movie, Bloom noted that its outcome – whether it succeeds or fails – could hold significant importance in a court setting.

If Baldoni’s project fails, he might attribute it to the Blake Lively lawsuit and use it as evidence of the significant losses he’s claiming – approximately $millions, she pointed out.
If the plan works out, the notion that Blake Lively is the reason he can’t thrive in Hollywood will be completely disproved, as Bloom stated.
Additionally, it’s anticipated that Scarlett Johansson and other notable actors could be summoned to provide testimony in the Lively-Baldoni trial regarding the earnings from the film and if his claimed expenses for the case are indeed accurate.
The lawyer, who happens to be Gloria Allred’s daughter, stated: ‘I think the movie’s premiere might get overshadowed by media inquiries regarding the ongoing Lively-Baldoni legal dispute.’
