In the third chapter of the “Battle for Katana Kingdom” event within the game “Brawl Stars”, players can expect a fresh game mode called “Oni Hunt” to be introduced.
In this intense Player versus Environment (PvE) scenario, you’ll face off directly against O, who has undergone a transformation into a demonic, hyper-energized form, following his encounter with suspicious wasabi.
Overcoming the Oni Hunt game mode is quite a test, yet it offers significant rewards for those up to the task.
How the Oni Hunt Mode Works in Brawl Stars
As an enthusiast, I’d like to share my excitement about the thrilling three-player game mode known as Oni Hunt. In this captivating adventure, you’ll face off against the formidable Oni Kenji. Each time he is vanquished, he returns with renewed vigor and more potent attacks. The challenge lies in clearing a total of five distinct stages that test your skills to the limit.
To secure victory, select Brawlers capable of inflicting significant damage on Kenji, all the while maintaining their own health. It would be beneficial to study his different attack patterns, as understanding them can help you dodge more effectively.
If you get defeated, you can be revived provided that at least one of your teammates is still in the game. But if every member of your team gets knocked out, it means defeat for all, and we’ll need to restart the stage in order to win.
This game mode could trigger memories of the past “Battle with the Boss” mode, which was a feature in “Brawl Stars“.
All the Rewards You Can Get in the Oni Hunt
As a gamer, I can tell you that conquering each daily stage of increasing difficulty will net me seven days’ worth of awesome loot! These rewards come in the form of Coins and Sushi Rolls, making every victory all the sweeter.
You can find a breakdown of the reward you can get for beating each stage below:

If you manage to conquer all five stages every day for the entire seven-day game period, you’ll earn a grand total of 700 Coins and 14 Sushi Rolls.
How Long Will the Oni Hunt Game Mode Be Available?
During Chapter 3 of the Battle for Katana Kingdom event, you’ll have the opportunity to play the Oni Hunt game mode.
This means this mode will be active between May 15 and 22, 2025.
