Inside Tim Minchin’s $4.5M Celebrity-Guest Mansion with Politicians & Luxe Secrets Revealed!
I recently stumbled upon an extraordinary property located in the heart of South Australia, a place that once served as a ‘hospitality haven’ for the remarkable Australian entertainer, Tim Minchin. This magnificent dwelling is now up for sale at an astounding price tag of $4,500,000.
Nestled within the heart of Adelaide’s vibrant suburb of Malvern, I find myself residing in a grand 19th-century manor that offers six spacious bedrooms and five elegantly designed bathrooms.
49-year-old Minchin, a resident of Melbourne, spent six weeks residing on the property as he penned down the critically acclaimed series for streaming platform Uptight.
Located only 4 kilometers away from downtown, this residence is now up for sale, having been owned by Josephine Marshall and her spouse Andrew for the past 13 years, as reported by The Advertiser.
Josephine, the director of fashion label One Rundle Trading Co., informed the publication that when she and her husband, a builder, purchased the property, it was in a dilapidated or badly damaged state.
After the end of World War II, the businesswoman mentioned that the house they purchased was so rundown, it had certain parts deemed unsafe by the local authorities. Following the war, it was transformed into a four-flat tenement.

The couple splashed out on a renovation that restored the mansion to its former glory.
Nestled within lush, well-kept gardens, the two-story building dating back to the 1880s presents an appealing blend of intricate vintage elegance and sleek contemporary charm.
19th-century design elements have been preserved, such as fireplaces made from slate and marble, original wrought iron locks and keys, wooden stair treads, and ornate ceiling details.
Referred to as “The House with the Tall Tower,” this grand residence boasts a semi-business kitchen equipped with a “butler’s wing” and four distinct living spaces.
There’s also a large salt-chlorinated pool and an adjoining entertainment deck.
Additionally noteworthy features are a wooden stairway from Oregon, heated floors in three baths, and a separate area designed for children.
The property additionally features a self-contained guest quarters referred to as the ‘Coach House’, which was once occupied by Tim Minchin.
The owners have also received several well-known faces in politics as guests.

Josephine Marshall shared with The Advertiser that it was a pleasure not only to be extended the invitation, but also to have had the opportunity to host Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Peter Dutton, and Jacinta Nampijinpa Price for lunch and dinner respectively. She found the experience quite enjoyable.
It comes after Minchin announced a new tour for 2025.
The renowned artist is scheduled to perform his “Songs The World Will Never Hear” concert in cities such as Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Newcastle, Sydney, and Toowoomba.
Minchin will kick off his tour in home town of Melbourne on October 31.
