The initial trailer for the expected follow-up to Bob Odenkirk’s 2021 action-thriller titled “Nobody” has been released.
Under the guidance of director Ilya Naishuller, the initial movie introduces us to a character portrayed by Better Call Saul’s actor. This character is a former government assassin who has transitioned into family life. However, when two burglars invade his house, he finds himself slipping back into his violent past.
Later on, Hutch Mansell, played by Odenkirk, decides to go on a family trip for some bonding time. However, their peaceful getaway is disrupted when they cross paths with a group of troublemakers.
Becca (played by Connie Nielsen) mentions in the trailer that she understands you don’t have an ordinary job, yet it’s been months since we last saw each other, as clips of Hutch engaging in combat with a gang in an elevator are shown.
Excitedly, I share that my family and I will embark on an unforgettable journey, choosing Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark as our destination – a place that holds cherished memories from my childhood vacations with my brother!
Yet, an encounter with some local troublemakers unexpectedly thrusts Hutch into the line of fire between a questionable theme-park manager (John Ortiz) and the town’s corrupt sheriff (Colin Hanks), who are both under the command of Sharon Stone’s ruthless criminal overlord.
In the second installment, it’s Timo Tjahjanto who’s in charge of the director’s seat, with Derek Kolstad, John Odenkirk, Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem collaborating on the screenplay.
In a previous conversation prior to the release of the movie, Digital Spy chatted with Bryan Odenkirk about the similarities drawn between “Nobody” and “John Wick.
He pointed out that Derek’s storytelling technique, which gradually develops and expands ideas, seems to create unique characters akin to John Wick and Nobody.
As the antagonists grow stronger and multiply, so do the intense emotions, and our protagonist continually outdoes himself in devising cunning strategies for combat.
Nobody 2 release in cinemas on 15 August.
