Anastacia: Menopause Symptoms Mistaken for Brain Tumor
US pop star Anastacia has revealed the terrifying moment she thought she had a brain tumour.
On The Project, the 56-year-old singer expressed surprise when she found out she was having migraines due to menopause.
Anastacia further clarified that she had been trying to understand her health issues herself, unaware that her symptoms such as tiredness and confusion were possibly due to hormonal imbalances.
In simpler terms, she shared with Waleed Aly and Sarah Harris on Monday that menopause hasn’t been a walk in the park for her, but despite it being incredibly intimidating, she isn’t afraid to discuss the topic openly.
‘What’s been the hardest thing?’ Harris asked.
She experienced all the side effects she wasn’t even aware of before. She felt quite puzzled as to what was causing her discomfort. Her previous condition, supraventricular tachycardia, resurfaced, and she started experiencing irregular heartbeats again, as she clarified.

It seemed as though I had a brain tumor, and my state of mind grew increasingly dire as I neared the end. However, I suddenly realized that I didn’t have any phone numbers with me. So, in essence, I said something like, “Alright then. Let me have some numbers, children. Give me progastrin.
Anastasia enrolled in the program to publicize the forthcoming Australian performances for her 25-year anniversary tour of her first album, “Not That Kind.
Anastacia mentioned that she’s donning her low-rise jeans during the tour,” she noted, expressing her lasting affection for classic Y2K fashion trends.
Due to my age and the uncertainty surrounding the mesopause, there could be fluctuations in clothing sizes during our tour.
I had this phase where I felt an irresistible urge to devour everything in my fridge, but now I’ve shifted gears and embraced a lifestyle focused on bioidentical hormones, just thought you should know as we catch up with Sarah.
In simpler terms, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) for menopause entails utilizing hormones which are structurally the same as the ones naturally made by the human body.
Sarah commended the singer for her positive outlook on her health challenges, to which Anastacia responded: ‘I dislike complaining or wallowing in self-pity.’
Previously, Anastasia experienced irregular heartbeats and was identified as having Crohn’s disease when she turned thirteen years old.

In 2003, when she was 34 years old, the popular figure was diagnosed with breast cancer. She faced this health challenge once more about a decade later.
Last month, viewers of Loose Women were deeply touched by Anastacia’s brief yet powerful summation of her cancer struggle, which encompassed a total of 16 surgical procedures.
During a conversation with Christine Lampard, Brenda Edwards, Coleen Nolan, and Jane Moore, the topic of their health was brought up.
After receiving the diagnosis a second time, Anastacia opted for a mastectomy, which essentially meant that everything was removed.
As a lifestyle guide, I can confidently say that I made an exceptionally tough decision at the outset, one that required significant consideration. Once the surgery was successfully concluded, my mind found peace it hadn’t known before. I no longer fretted or worried; instead, I embraced the certainty of my choice and focused on healing and moving forward.
‘I did have 15 more surgeries after that surgery to get to where I was complete, but who cares?’
She poignantly signed off: ‘I won!’
For the first time in ten years, Anastacia is traveling to Australia as part of a global tour marking the 25th anniversary of her popular debut album, “Not That Kind.

In September, the artist known for hits from the 2000s will perform concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Tickets for these shows will be available for purchase starting March 28.
Anastacia last toured Australia in 2015 as part of her Resurrection Tour.
