This week, Bad Bunny and Fuerza Regida made history in Spanish music as their albums “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” and “111XPANTIA” respectively, took the top two spots on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the first time any Spanish-language albums have held such positions simultaneously.
On May 2nd, Fuerza Regida’s latest album entered the charts at the second position. Billboard reports that this makes it the top-charting Regional Mexican album and Spanish-language group/duo album to date.
For the launch of their new album, Fuerza Regida plans to collaborate with streetwear brand Complex to hold a pop-up event in Los Angeles from May 2nd through 4th. This celebration is meant to honor the release of their latest work.
Bad Bunny’s heartfelt tribute to his cherished Puerto Rico, titled “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” climbed back to the number one spot in the charts following the release of a vinyl version of the album. Prior to this, it had been placed seventh on the Billboard 200 and has remained within the top 10 since its initial debut on January 5.
Bad Bunny has unveiled a 23-show stadium tour to back his upcoming album, beginning on November 21 in the Dominican Republic. The tour will continue with performances in Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. At present, no U.S. dates have been planned for this tour.
111XPANTIA is the ninth studio album by Fuerza Regida, published through Rancho Humilde and Street Mob Records. This release signifies their comeback to their traditional corrido genre, contrasting with their previous album “Pero No Te Enamores” from 2024, which delved into electronic-oriented genres such as Jersey club, drill, and house music.
I’ve chosen an album titled “111XPANTIA,” a name that intriguingly splits into two sections. The first, “111,” is a palindrome, often interpreted as an “angel number” or a symbol of good fortune. The second half, “ixpantia,” originates from the Nahuatl language and represents the concept of manifestation.
According to JOP from Fuerza Regida, the purpose of this album is to bring an idea to life, transform dreams into reality, and demonstrate the power of the mind and the law of attraction.
