Love Island’s Kendall Rae Knight Engaged to Andrew Hughes in Dubai, Shows Off Massive Ring!

On a Monday, it was made known by Kendall Rae Knight herself that she is now engaged to her boyfriend, Andrew Hughes, who plays football.

On Instagram, the Love Island alumna, aged 32, who graced our screens during season 4 of the popular ITV program back in 2018, posted a touching collection to mark a joyful event.

She posted joyous snippets from her celebratory occasion, the moment she accepted Andrew’s proposal at age 32.

Alongside her post, she penned: ‘10.05.25  YES YES YES to the love of my life!’ 

Their engagement comes after they welcomed their  first child a baby boy named Cooper in March.

Sharing a delightful assortment of photos, Kendall and Andrew, aged 31, announced the birth of their son.

Kendall indicated that Cooper’s birth date is March 4th, as her social media post stated: “Cooper Cole Hughes. Born on 04/03/24.

In the hospital, the reality TV star posted new photos showing her with a bright smile while holding baby Cooper, swaddled in a soft cream wrap.

In a fresh photo, the delighted new parents gleamed broadly as they unveiled their latest addition, capturing a sweet moment.

Elsewhere, the cherubic tot could be seen sleeping peacefully while wrapped in a white fur shawl. 

Kendall and Andrew carried Cooper’s infant carrier with them as they exited the hospital hand-in-hand after the delivery.

Friends of the couple, who are well-known themselves, quickly sent their congratulations in the comment area, expressing their goodwill after the birth.

Helen Flanagan said: ‘Congratulations Kendall and Andrew. Beautiful boy. So happy for you both.’

Meanwhile, Danielle Lloyd said: ‘Aww he is beautiful congratulations to you both.’

Vicky Pattison, commented: ‘Congratulations my loves.’

In addition to Kendall, other Love Island alums such as Claudia Fogarty, Joanna Chiamonides, and Tasha Ghouri also sent heartfelt congratulations.

Kendall’s pregnancy was a stressful time for the couple as she previously told how she was ‘high risk’ for having a baby early due to medical reasons.

Additionally, she shared with her 746,000 Instagram fans that she’s endured severe morning sickness.

On her Story, a fan inquired about the specific stage she is at, to which she replied: ‘For a few reasons, I prefer not to disclose the exact stage I’m at.’

People tend to focus strongly on the due date as I’ve had some medical procedures and surgeries in the past that might increase my chances of giving birth prematurely.

Everything seems to be on track, and I’m hoping for the best as we approach the homestretch. My heart yearns for a successful journey till the end. So far, I’ve made it through four months – here’s to many more!

She shared about her first-trimester illness: “I hadn’t realized how severe your sickness could become, making you feel so overwhelmed that all you wanted to do was lie on the couch and shed tears.

Her caption read: ‘I am still being sick now! But I’m taking only being sick once a day now.’ 

During the initial three months, I was unwell nearly every day, averaging about five or six instances of feeling ill each day. Additionally, I had difficulty keeping food down.

Kendall later disclosed that she and Andrew had chosen to keep their pregnancy hidden from others for some time, considering it their special secret. They only shared the happy news with Kendall’s sister once they had reached the nine-week mark.

In a delightful gender reveal video posted on the footballer’s social media platform in December 2023, exactly two months following the confirmation of their pregnancy, she announced that they were going to have a baby boy.

Andrew wrote: ‘We’ve just had a tiny bit of joy – IT’S A BOY BABY! This is the most blissful and enchanting experience we’ve had yet!’

In an Instagram post at the time, Kendall flaunted her radiant self in a white swimsuit, gently holding her baby bump.

Alongside the beaming picture, Kendall wrote: ‘Mummy & Daddy.

‘After 5 amazing years together we couldn’t be happier to say WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!.’

In conversation with The Sun regarding future family plans a few years back, Kendall expressed: “Andrew shows a stronger desire for parenthood than I do! Yes, we intend to have a child, but likely not this year – or maybe not, as we’ll buy a house first!

On the 2018 season of Love Island, Kendall initially appeared, marking her reality show premiere. However, she was the very first contestant to be removed from the island.

At the Love Island Christmas 2018 get-together, the previous employee at a shoe store shared a romantic kiss with competitor Eyal Booker. However, their relationship didn’t last long afterwards.

About a year following his departure from the show, Kendall found himself attracted by the professional football player Andrew, who plays as a defender for Preston North End in the Championship league.

Sharing openly about their relationship, she admitted: “He’s captured my heart. We’ve managed to keep things under wraps for a long time, but now I’m breaking the silence!

I appreciate the joy you’ve brought into my life, unparalleled in any other experience. Yet, I must admit, there have been moments of frustration that seem to stretch on endlessly. Rest assured, I am looking forward to reciprocating those aggravating instances with equal measure as we move ahead.
