The highly praised actress, aged 62, appeared much like an ordinary commuter, patiently waiting for the train to fully halt before boarding.
For a brief instant, her foot stumbled on the subway stair, yet she swiftly regained balance and easily stepped onto the train without any problems.
Throughout her entire life, she has had an exceptionally prosperous acting career, appearing in critically acclaimed movies such as “Taxi Driver,” “The Silence of the Lambs,” and also starring in the popular TV show “True Detective.
Can you guess who this Hollywood icon is?

It’s Jodie Foster!
Despite being an A-lister, Jodie clearly has no qualms taking the bustling subway around town.
During the journey, she chose to stay on her feet and held onto a subway post with one arm instead.
Eventually, however, she took a seat and occupied herself with her phone.
Jodie sported white trousers, matching trainers, and a nautical button down with blue stripes.
Besides her, other notable celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank, Helen Mirren, among others, have also been spotted using their MetroCards on the trains.
Jodie kick-started her highly prosperous acting journey at the tender age of three, starring in an advertisement for Coppertone sunscreen on television.
In my journey, I soared to unprecedented heights when I secured the part in Martin Scorsese’s 1976 film “Taxi Driver.” This role earned me an Oscar nomination at the tender age of 13, a remarkable milestone on my path as a committed follower of my dreams.

The movie sparked debate due to Jodie, who was 12 at the time, being chosen to portray a character involved in child exploitation.
The film, often regarded as a notable American production, narrates the story of Travis Bickle, a taxi driver (played by Robert De Niro), who harbored dreams of brutally purifying the streets of New York City.
It wouldn’t be another 12 years until Jodie finally won an Oscar for her role in 1989’s Accused.

In The Silence of the Lambs, she received her second Oscar award, which was given for her portrayal of rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling.
one for “Taxi Driver”, another for the 1995 release “Nell”, and most recently for the upcoming movie titled “Nyad” in 2024.
Looking back on her career last year, she mused that the critical and commercial triumph she experienced from acting in the 1976 thriller seemed almost accidental to her.
On the Josh Smith podcast, the actress from Freaky Friday shared her thoughts: ‘I began at age three, appeared in a show at six, and received an Oscar nomination by twelve. This experience made me feel as though my success was nothing more than luck.’

Instead of being particularly fortunate because I happened to be in the perfect spot at the perfect moment, and often feeling guilty for having so many advantages… I frequently grapple with this sensation.
I didn’t necessarily become lucky by being in the right place at the right time, but I still find myself feeling guilty about having so many good things happen to me… This is something I battle with often.
I often find that people assume if they aren’t experiencing significant discomfort or stress, their efforts must be insignificant. They tend to equate hard work with pain and anxiety.
As a lifestyle expert, it’s essential to clarify that hard work doesn’t necessarily manifest as physical or emotional distress. Instead, it may be reflected in progress, learning, and personal growth.
More recently she starred as Detective Liz Danvers in True Detective.
Jodie mentioned: “On True Detective, I’ve never felt happier, and the process seemed effortless. At times, I even thought, ‘This is too simple, maybe I’m not putting in enough effort.’

In the 1950s, I found it incredibly challenging, and I believe many women shared this experience. It was like realizing that certain things we once took for granted were no longer possible. For instance, you might think, “I can’t present myself in the same way as before on magazine covers,” or “I can’t compete with my younger self, and every attempt to do so seems to lead to failure.
However, life can sometimes seem bewildering, and the depictions of turning 50 leave you perplexed. Even as I experienced profound joy in my personal life, I found myself repeating, ‘I feel destined to accomplish something significant, but I’m struggling to discern what it is.’ Eventually, the milestone of 60 arrived.
The actress shared her thoughts: “Reaching sixty has been such a delight, as I release some of the burden of comparing myself to my younger years. There was immense pressure to outdo my past self.
I’m really delighted to be a character actor, as it allows me to contribute my insights and life experiences to the craft, benefiting others in the process.
Generally, I advise them to unwind, assuring them there’s no need for concern, as they have no power over the situation.
A mother of two, Foster shares sons Charles, 26, and Christopher, 23, with her ex Cydney Bernard.
She has been married to Alexandra Hedison, a photographer/director/actress, since 2014.
