Stacey Solomon Blasts BAFTAs: ‘We Were ROBBED’ in Outrageous Rant

On Sunday evening during the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises, Stacey Solomon expressed her strong feelings passionately in an online outburst after not winning the prize.

Despite being nominated in the Factual Entertainment category, the 35-year-old presenter’s BBC show, Sort Your Life Out, didn’t win against Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder‘s program, Grand Tour.

Nevertheless, as she applauded the victors, Stacey found herself expressing her disappointment. She admitted that her team felt cheated because they believed they truly deserved the prize, stating that they had been unfairly denied it.

In an unexpected outburst, the famous actress, who had been nominated but didn’t win the solo gong for Entertainment Performance, expressed her disappointment by posting about it on her Instagram stories.

In a green Nike sweater and matching blue cycling shorts, Stacey tended to her vegetable garden as she shared with her followers her emotions regarding the recent loss.

On Sunday, Stacey, shining in her refashioned wedding gown, couldn’t help but vent: “We didn’t secure a BAFTA award. While I’m expected to handle it with poise like a champion, the truth is, I’m genuinely heartbroken!

Smiling as she spoke, she expressed: “I’m struggling to cope, and I’m certainly not acting with poise – I’m heartbroken! I’m heartbroken not just for myself but for the entire team too; it’s a deep sorrow that I feel for our group.

Everyone donned their finest attire, brimming with optimism, likely due to their tireless efforts. Creating ‘Sort Your Life Out’ isn’t a simple task, but the dedicated team truly puts in the hard work and richly deserves the BAFTA award.

‘I truly believe the Sort Your Life Out team should have won a BAFTA, and I’m deeply disappointed. This doesn’t mean that everyone else didn’t deserve their awards; they certainly did. However, the public often underestimates how hard it is to create TV content, so recognition is well-deserved everywhere. Still, my sentiment is particularly for the Sort Your Life Out crew because I strongly feel they deserved a BAFTA. To put it plainly, I’m heartbroken.’

Continuing with her explanation about the behind-the-scenes work of their show, she elaborated: “We carefully dismantle a house and within seven days, everything is moved from the house into vans, transported to a storage facility, spread out on the floor for thorough inspection. We ensure that nothing gets wasted unnecessarily. Instead, we donate, recycle, or resell items whenever possible. Our aim is to organize it all and establish systems that assist families in their forward movement.

She additionally acknowledged and appreciated the families who willingly sacrifice their time and share their homes with TV viewers, particularly when they face the possibility of criticism or judgment.

With her garden hose aloft, visibly upset Stacey exclaimed, “I’m really disappointed!” before acknowledging her entire crew and expressing their determination to put forth their best efforts for the upcoming series six.

Simultaneously, Joe Swash’s wife expressed her sentiments openly in the comment area beneath a post shared by her fellow cast member, Dilly Carter.

After not winning the award, professional organizer Dilly wrote a more polite note, expressing her delight for just being nominated.

Accompanied by a red carpet video, she remarked: “Stepping out with our chins held high and beaming with pride for what we’ve accomplished as a show and production. It can be tempting to feel down because we didn’t win, but let’s not forget the amazing talent that surrounds us here. In this very room, we are surrounded by greatness.

It’s amazing that our show has been nominated not once, but twice! This feels surreal, so let’s take a moment to appreciate our incredible journey. Remember, we were just producing a pilot episode not so long ago. A big round of applause for @rylan and @robrinder – congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your constant love and support. Now, it’s time to get back to work on series 6.

On Sunday, Stacey drew attention at the red carpet event as she creatively reused her wedding gown for the occasion.

In recent years, the event has been advocating for sustainability, and in line with this commitment, attendees are invited to don clothing that they already own or have rented instead of purchasing new items.

Similarly to Vicky Pattison, Stacey also chose this event to don her most cherished outfit for another public appearance.

Before the event, Stacey posted several pictures on Instagram showcasing her stunning outfit, which was tailored from her wedding dress that she wore when marrying Joe Swash in July 2022.

I proudly displayed my slim waistline and well-sculpted legs in a refreshed ensemble that transformed from a traditional gown into a modern jumpsuit. I felt it was important to wear my wedding attire just once, as repeating it seemed almost disrespectful or unjust.

To follow these instructions:

1. Maintain the fitted upper part (bodice) of the existing gown.
2. Discard or remove the detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves.
3. Introduce striking, pointed details to accentuate the neckline.

As I opted for a stylish switch from a skirt to shorts, I strategically incorporated a high-thigh split into my shimmering overlay, offering a tantalizing peek at my lengthy legs beneath.

Stacey shared the charming backstory behind her attire and disclosed the reason for choosing to don her wedding day gown once more.

She wrote: “I chose to alter my wedding dress for today’s event, as it seems wasteful to wear it only once in my opinion. I wanted to give it another special occasion by taking it out of its box.

Appreciation to @fayesawyerstylist and Issy, for turning my wedding dress into a unique and stunning piece. You two are amazing! Thanks again, Penny, for making me feel exceptionally beautiful once more. Here’s to the big day! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Meanwhile Vicky rewore one of her collection of dresses from her nuptials to Ercan Ramadan.

Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises, a star-studded event honoring exceptional achievements in television. The grand celebration took place at the opulent Royal Festival Hall situated along the Southbank Centre.

On the night, it was Mr. Bates and The Post Office that shone brightest, taking home an additional two awards, further expanding the impressive collection of honors for their trailblazing television productions on ITV.

In the end, it was BBC who emerged victorious, amassing a total of 17 awards following a successful year of television broadcasts. This recognition was bestowed during the ceremony, which this time around was hosted by actor Alan Cumming.

Meanwhile, Baby Reindeer and the iconic Gavin & Stacey Christmas special were both recognized with significant accolades.

It is anticipated that Mr. Bates versus The Post Office will garner a significant amount of attention during Sunday evening, and they have already won an award in the category of Limited Drama early on.

In a heartfelt statement following the presentation of the gong by Russell Tovey and Daniel Mays, producer Patrick Spencer acknowledged that the production could have been halted, but Polly Hill at ITV intervened to save it from cancellation. He also emphasized that the story’s significant impact was due not only to the program itself, but mainly because viewers united in their fury and demanded action, ultimately forcing the government to respond.

Our performance didn’t bring about a legal change; it was the citizens of this nation who demonstrated that power. Through their reaction to the case of Mr. Bates versus The Post Office, they made it clear that our country has zero tolerance for deceivers and tyrants.

He commented: “Let this serve as a reminder to those entrusted with our protection, to ensure they do not misuse their authority.

Upon receiving this award, we’d like to officially state that having the trust of the post-masters to share their narrative is the most profound honor we’ve experienced throughout our lives.

ITV was honored with a Special Award, bestowed upon them by Baroness Floella Benjamin, in recognition of their efforts in commissioning the series “Mr. Bates vs The Post Office.

Encouraging the Labour government led by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to swiftly distribute the agreed-upon compensation to impacted ex-postal workers, ITV chief Kevin Lygo stated, “Expedite the payments to these individuals, as it’s only fair that they receive what is owed to them.

The evening started as Jessica Gunning received the award for Best Actress, having been praised for her chilling performance as the unhinged stalker Martha in the critically acclaimed Netflix series Baby Reindeer by Richard Gatt.

After accidentally slipping several profanities during his acceptance speech for Best Male Performance in a Comedy, Danny Dyer prompted the BBC to swiftly edit the broadcast.

In a characteristically colorful manner, the 47-year-old actor, who had just won his initial BAFTA for playing Lee in Mr. Bigstuff, let his enthusiasm overflow in a speech filled with exclamations.

Initially exclaiming, “Goodness gracious, I’m overcome,” the EastEnders actor subsequently posted a touching and amusing tribute to Mr. Bigstuff creator and fellow actor Ryan Sampson, causing him to color the air with strong language again.

Danny mentioned: “However, I’d like to dedicate this to Ryan Sampson. One of the best things to emerge from Rotherham. Admittedly, it’s not exactly a hotbed of greatness.

Without a doubt, he is among the most versatile actors our nation has ever nurtured. He never repeats his performances, a feat that I must admit, is beyond me.

This section was penned specifically for me, and I must admit, it’s bringing tears to my eyes once more. So, you’ve scored a victory for me, and I can’t thank you enough for it.

He concluded by speaking directly to his two daughters, Dani, 28, and Sunnie, 18, who were present in the crowd, and used the moment to swear one final oath: ‘Ladies, Sunnie and Dani. I’ve accomplished it, I’ve truly accomplished it!’

Nevertheless, the BBC expressed disapproval when the celebrity violated the prime-time content guidelines. Consequently, the host was compelled to offer an apology, stating: “I’ve been instructed to express regret for the inappropriate language used.

One hour after the event, the broadcaster edited out Danny’s expletives and shortened his speech for the broadcast.

Later on, during the presentation of the esteemed BAFTA Fellowship to journalist Kirsty Wark, Alan unintentionally blurted out an expletive of his own.

The well-known Scottish actor made an embarrassing mistake by accidentally referring to the award as the “unfortunate fellowship” instead. Realizing his slip-up, he became flustered and exclaimed another expletive, saying, “Oh, I’m mortified!” in a quieter tone.

The Fellowship is the most prestigious award given by BAFTA to a single person, honoring them for extraordinary and exceptional work in the fields of cinema, video games, or television.
