Aussie Stars Celebrate Phoebe Tonkin’s Chic Wedding

Phoebe Tonkin has married her fiancé Bernard Lagrange in a low-key but very chic ceremony.

In October 2024, the Australian actress, aged 35, and her secretive art dealer boyfriend made their engagement official, having carefully hidden their romantic involvement from public view.

Now, Australian celebrities have posted pictures on Instagram that depict the joyful couple getting married after a festive dinner or hen party.

On Friday, it seemed like Phoebe held a pre-wedding gathering, reconnecting with notable figures from Australia, including Margot Robbie, Sam Neill, and Lara Bingle.

Additionally, actresses Teresa Palmer, Bella Heathcote, Jessica McNamee, and Ilona Hamer were among those invited to the two-night event.

It seems the official wedding then took place on Saturday in New York City. 

Images from the event captured Australia’s golden ladies dressed elegantly in high-end attire, reveling in the fun-filled atmosphere that was brimming with laughter and abundant with beverages.

Notable attendees like Annabelle Wallis, Maya Ford, Nesta Cooper, and Eiza González were spotted in various parts of the venue, often gathered near a table.

Meanwhile, the bride of the hour rocked two very chic looks for her big day.

At a pre-wedding dinner surrounded by friends, the actress from The Vampire Diaries showcased her physique in a dress reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw’s 1998 Dior outfit.

Later on, she switched to a shimmering white gown adorned with flowers for her wedding ceremony, whereas Bernard chose a traditional black tuxedo instead.

One delightful snapshot of the pair, captured by actress Maya, depicted Phoebe and Bernard striking a pose inside an old-fashioned photo booth.

As I reflect on my recent weekend, I can’t help but express my joy by saying, “I found my own little piece of ‘happily ever after.'” Or, alternatively, “Over the weekend, I celebrated an extraordinary individual, who truly shines like an ‘angel’ among us.

Additionally, Eiza shared some backstage pictures that offered another peek at the high-profile attendees, among whom were Nina Dobrev and Claire Holt.

As a devoted admirer, I too took to social media to share my own images showcasing the avant-garde ensemble I donned for the evening, much like the Australian model Lara, aged 37.

Dilara Findikoglu’s design showcased a black see-through fabric layered over an expensive white lace dress priced at approximately AUD$4,363.

Despite Phoebe not officially sharing about it through her own posts, English actress Annabelle, aged 40, made the announcement on her Instagram Stories about the significant event, which seems to be a wedding.

She labeled this New York City wedding photo as ‘these stunning ladies,’ featuring herself, Margot, Lara, and the 35-year-old Mexican actress Eiza.

In October, Phoebe and Bernard shared a joyful announcement about their unexpected engagement on Instagram, expressing their affection for each other.

In a single snapshot, the actress from The Boy Swallows Universe donned a pristine gown while nestled on Bernard’s lap, embracing him tenderly as they exchanged a loving kiss.

Her stunning oval diamond engagement ring was on full display during the intimate moment.

Additionally, Phoebe shared yet another snapshot, capturing the moment she tenderly caressed Bernard’s cheek inside a vehicle, while showcasing her freshly acquired ring.

She titled these photos as ‘Summer of Love Film Retrospective’. The first picture was captured by her friend, Mark Bauch, as she wrote in the caption.

Little is known about Bernard, but he is believed to be an art dealer.

Prior to her romance with Bernard, Phoebe was linked to American rocker Alex Greenwald.

In 2020, she publicly acknowledged their romantic relationship on Instagram by posting a photo of them locking lips while both were donning face masks.

It’s unclear when the relationship ended.

Phoebe also previously dated Paul Wesley but they split in 2017 after four years together.

2019 saw the actress sharing with InStyle Australia magazine her journey of moving past a split with her fellow Vampire Diaries cast member.
