Blake Lively’s Casual NYC Look Amid Explosive Lawsuit Dragging Taylor Swift Into the Drama
In the midst of an intensifying legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively was recently seen in New York City, with Taylor Swift now being formally involved due to the case.
On a recent Saturday, the 37-year-old actress, who’s been involved in a legal dispute with Baldoni (aged 41) since the end of last year, appeared relaxed as she went out for lunch.
She wore a relaxed outfit, including jeans, a soft, sleeveless, light purple blouse, and a floral Louis Vuitton shoulder bag.
Vibrant, she completed her ensemble with a subtle set of Nike sneakers while carrying both a coffee and a brown paper bag, adding the finishing touch to her attire.
Her blonde locks were loose and styled in her usual side part during solo the outing.
The following day, Taylor was summoned to testify in Blake’s ongoing court case against Justin.

On Friday, the 35-year-old Eras Tour performer received a subpoena from attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, to appear in court as a witness.
Taylor’s team is strongly contesting the subpoena, claiming that she had limited involvement in the on-set issues related to the 2024 movie “It Ends With Us.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that statement like this: “I, personally, want to clarify some misconceptions about Taylor Swift’s involvement with the film ‘It Ends With Us’. To set the record straight, she didn’t appear on the movie set, she wasn’t part of any casting or creative decisions, she didn’t compose the music, she never previewed an edit or provided feedback, and she only watched it after its public release in 2024. During those years, Taylor was busy touring worldwide, leading what became the biggest concert tour in history.
Taylor’s part in the movie was limited, as she contributed one song from her 2020 album “Folklore” called “My Tears Ricochet” for its soundtrack.
The statement implies: ‘Since Taylor Swift licensed a song for the movie like 19 other artists did, this subpoena is aimed at using her name to generate public curiosity and sensational headlines in tabloids, rather than concentrating on the actual facts of the case.’
Blake later shared her response to Swift being subpoenaed on Friday.
According to People, her legal representatives criticized Baldoni’s legal team for serving a subpoena to the Grammy recipient and countered the proposal of selling tickets for Lively’s deposition.
According to the spokesperson, they are transforming allegations of sexual harassment and retribution into sensationalized content for the gossip magazines, involving Mr. Baldoni, Mr. Sarowitz, and their team.

Proposing an idea that could involve selling tickets for a courtroom appearance – similar to a concert at Madison Square Garden – for viewers to attend the testimony of Ms. Lively, or even summoning Taylor Swift, a globally influential singer, to court.
‘This is a very serious legal matter, not Barnum & Bailey’s Circus.’
Additionally, the representative stated that the defendants have persisted in their public efforts to undermine, belittle, harass, and discredit women’s advocacy and standings. This includes recent attempts to overturn a robust California law supporting victims’ rights, labeling it as unconstitutional.
The questionable behaviors exhibited by a wealthy individual, along with the men who built their reputations as advocates for women, and their associates, are increasingly revealing their genuine nature.

More recently, it has been made clear by attorney Mike Gottlieb that Blake is ready to testify truthfully in a court of law.
The ideal opportunity for a plaintiff’s narrative to unfold is during the trial, and that seems likely in this case with Lively as well. He made it clear to People that she will indeed take the stand to tell her story.
Caught up in the buzz about potential subpoenas for Hugh Jackman and Swift, I can’t help but wonder: How on earth could any legal arguments or defenses involving these celebrities possibly be connected to this case at all? It seems utterly perplexing!
He made clear that the matter at hand pertains to the incident involving Blake Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment on set, and not about the selection of songs for the film or the fictional Marvel characters featured in the Deadpool series.
Gottsleib posed a query: “So, why exactly are these individuals being summoned with a subpoena? Are they in any way connected or relevant to the ongoing case?
It’s not appropriate to issue subpoenas merely because someone is well-known, expecting it to create news. Such actions are not accepted in federal courts.
It was mentioned that it’s unclear whether Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s spouse, might be called to testify since he is presently listed as a defendant in Baldoni’s counterclaim.

In court documents from last December, Lively claimed that Baldoni had sexually harassed her during the film’s production. Furthermore, she asserted that after that, he orchestrated a negative publicity campaign against her.
The mother-of-four also outlined missed work opportunities in the explosive lawsuit.
Among the missed opportunities mentioned was the chance to host the premier episode of Saturday Night Live’s 50th season in September, a month following the release of the movie.
‘The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial,’ said the document.
In light of the continuous campaign and the widespread unfavorable public opinion, Ms. Lively felt it was impossible for her to attend public events or engagements without having to publicly address what transpired on set, according to the filing.
Justin firmly refutes her accusations and has filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit as a counterclaim against her, Ryan, their representative Leslie Sloane, and her public relations firm Vision PR. This case is scheduled for court hearing in March 2026.
