Although the project hasn’t been officially approved yet, Junger intends to expand it into a three-part series, with the additional installments named “10 Things I Hate About Marriage” and “10 Things I Hate About Kids.

In this adaptation, the initial film drew inspiration from William Shakespeare’s play, “The Taming of the Shrew,” featuring Julia Stiles portraying a headstrong teenager named Kat. The entrance of the rebellious new student Patrick, brought to life by Heath Ledger, significantly disrupts Kat’s life.

10 Reasons Why I Dislike Modern Romance” – Drawing inspiration from Molière’s classic play “The Misanthrope,” this new work will cater more towards a mature audience, yet Junger hopes to include some of the original cast in the upcoming film adaptation.

This upcoming movie titled “10 Reasons Why I Dislike Modern Romance” is inspired by Molière’s play “The Misanthrope,” and it is specifically designed for an older demographic, though Junger hopes to involve some of the original cast in the sequel film.

He expressed his desire, saying, “It’d be great to collaborate with Julia Stiles once more.” Her portrayal of Kat resonated deeply with countless women, giving voice to their experiences in a truly impactful manner.

As a huge fan, if my ideas align with what the original cast members would approve of and there’s an opportunity for me to make brief appearances or take on substantial roles, I’d jump at the chance! (The director shared this sentiment)

“I’d love Larry Miller [who played Kat’s dad Walter] to come back, because he’s so great.”

When asked if the title “10 Things I Hate About Dating” might include a tribute to Ledger, who passed away in 2008, Junger responded: “I find that a wonderful notion, and the answer is indeed yes… He truly deserves love.
