Jessica Gunning Stuns in Velvet Gown, Wins Best Supporting Actress at TV BAFTA Awards
At the TV BAFTA Awards on Sunday, Jessica Gunning gracefully won the title of Best Supporting Actress while donning an elegant appearance for her part in Baby Reindeer.
In my line of work as a lifestyle expert, I’d say that last night, I graced the crimson carpet, donning a stunning emerald velvet dress boasting an impressive, off-the-shoulder silhouette. The actress, aged 39, was radiant in this gown.
The performance by actors Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty from Adolescence kicked off the occasion that was held at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
In this rephrased version, the Netflix series, rumored to be based on the true events of its creator Richard Gadd, follows Donny’s character as he is pursued by an obsessed stalker named Martha (Jessica), after giving her a complimentary cup of tea at the pub where he works.
In a competition with fellow “Baby Reindeer” co-star Nava Mau, Yorkshire native Jessica emerged victorious; Nava Mau was known for portraying Donny’s love interest in the show.
Or more concisely:
Yorkshire-born Jessica outperformed her “Baby Reindeer” colleague, trans actress Nava Mau, who played Donny’s girlfriend on the show.
On stage on Sunday, she greeted with: “Hi there, hello! Thanks for having me, Bafta, amazing!” Then, she shared a humorous anecdote about how she used to playfully imagine herself as a pet in her own backyard.

On occasion, I have a rather sentimental habit of reflecting on my past self and various phases of my life. I often ponder what my past self would think if they could see me now, with a thought along the lines of, “who would have guessed.
Jessica mentioned a year ago that she and Richard attended the ceremony. Little did they suspect what the following year would bring, as she expressed gratitude towards him for significantly impacting her life.
The highly anticipated event will feature numerous celebrities receiving awards for exceptional TV work, along with impressive performances on stage.
As an ardent fan, I can hardly contain my excitement! Legendary artists like Jessie J and Tom Grennan are gracing us with their presence at the upcoming event. And guess what? After a six-year hiatus from television performances, the phenomenal Jessie J is set to sing “The Award Goes To”! This is a moment I’ve been waiting for, and I can hardly wait!
In an exclusive TV event, the multi-platinum pop sensation Tom will perform his fresh hit “Full Attention” for the first time.
On Sunday, 11th May at 7pm, you can catch both performances during the awards ceremony, either on BBC One or BBC iPlayer.
Furthermore, BAFTA has announced that renowned concert violinist and viral social media star, Esther Abrami, is set to perform Apple Tree during the In Memoriam tribute.
Regarding her performance, Jessie J commented: “It’s been quite some time since I sang on British TV. This comeback has been quite special; it’s an honor. However, the question now is, who will receive the award?

In the meantime, Tom remarked, “What an honor it is for me to be asked to perform at the renowned BAFTA, surrounded by countless respected actors and artists.
For the very first time, it’s Alan Cumming, the talented Scottish actor, writer, producer, and presenter who will be in charge of the sparkling ceremony.
Emma Baehr, the head of Awards & Content at BAFTA, expressed her joy that Alan Cumming will be the host for this year’s BAFTA Television Awards, in partnership with P&O Cruises.
Without a doubt, he’ll add an element of playful mischief and amusement to the ceremony. Therefore, spectators should be prepared for the unpredictable during the grandest television celebration in Britain on the 11th of May.
