Stacey Solomon’s Wedding Dress Transformed into Sparkling Playsuit for BAFTAs!

She’s nominated for two awards at tonight’s ceremony.

On Sunday evening, Stacey Solomon made the night extraordinary by opting to don her wedding gown for the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards held at the Royal Festival Hall of the Southbank Centre.

Before the event, the 35-year-old TV host posted several photos on Instagram showcasing her stunning outfit. Interestingly, this outfit was crafted from her wedding dress that she wore when tying the knot with Joe Swash in July 2022.

She displayed her slim waistline and well-toned legs in a revamped gown, now transformed into a trendy jumpsuit, because she felt it was a pity to wear her wedding outfit just once.

Stacey decided to modify her dress by preserving its fitted torso part, discarding the detachable shoulder straps, and instead accentuating it with a striking, pointed design on the neckline.

As she switched to shorts, there was a high, slit opening in the shimmering fabric of the skirt she wore before, revealing her well-toned legs beneath.

Five-children-mother gracefully stood beside Joe, exuding elegance in his sleek black tailored suit, complete with a dapper black waistcoat and tie.

Overflowing with excitement as I, an ardent admirer, find myself in contention for not one, but TWO accolades at the upcoming awards! The honor of being nominated for the Entertainment Performance prize for my beloved “Sort Your Life Out” is truly humbling. But wait, there’s more – the show itself has been recognized, gracing us with a nomination for Best Factual Entertainment! This recognition fuels my passion even further and I can hardly contain my joy!

She wrote: ‘Heading to the BAFTAs ✨ I’m thrilled and thankful to be nominated for not one, but TWO @bafta awards this year! Wow, what an incredible journey.’

I’m grateful to BAFTA for bestowing this recognition upon me. Also, a big thank you goes out to my team at sortyourlifeout and bbciplayer for providing me with the opportunity to host such an extraordinary show. It truly is the best job in the world, and I cherish every moment of it.

Sharing the delightful background of her attire, Stacey additionally disclosed her reasoning behind choosing to don her cherished wedding gown once more.

She explained: “I chose to alter my wedding gown for this occasion, as using it only once seems wasteful to me. I wanted to bring it out again and wear it on another memorable day.

I’d like to express my gratitude to @fayesawyerstylist and Issy for turning my wedding dress into a truly unique and stunning piece. You two are simply amazing, and I adore you both. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to Penny for making me feel as beautiful as ever. Wishing us all the best of luck ahead! 🤞

On Sunday morning, she confessed that she was secretly wishing for a surprising outcome during the event, where she would be facing tough rivals such as Claudia Winkleman, Graham Norton, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, and Joe Lycett.

On Sunday morning, she openly acknowledged that she was secretly hoping for an unexpected win at the gathering, as she would be facing strong opponents like Claudia Winkleman, Graham Norton, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, and Joe Lycett.

Greeting the dawn from a towering daisy field, here I am, beaming with excitement! Can you believe it? This year, I’ve been honored with not one, but TWO BAFTA nominations! Who would have thought this dreamer’s fantasy would become a reality?

Leanne, my friend from @hpefieldanimalsanctuary, is taking care of Teddy and the rest today. Meanwhile, Joe and I are going to check if by some luck I win a BAFTA.

For the nighttime, she playfully showed off her attire, along with a brief video of her seamstress modifying her gown. She confessed, “Tonight, I’m donning my wedding dress. It brings me such sorrow that this is my most cherished piece I’ve ever bought and I’ve only worn it on one occasion.

Instead, “I sought assistance from my longtime friend and fashion guru, Faye, along with her talented tailor, Izzy, to refashion my dress so I can wear it once more.

It involves a faulty IT system that led to numerous innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses being falsely accused of theft, fraud, and accounting irregularities.

In the nomination count, both Mr. Bates and The Post Office, as well as the Disney series Rivals and Apple TV’s Slow Horses, all received six nods each.

Here are the six contenders for the top actress nomination: Anna Maxwell Martin [for her role in “Until I Kill You”], Billie Piper [“Scoop”], Lola Petticrew [“Say Nothing”], Marisa Abela [“Industry”], Monica Dolan [“Mr Bates vs The Post Office”], and Sharon D Clarke [“Mr Loverman”].
