Adolescence Stars Shine in Leather at BAFTAs 2025
The television series “Adolescence” features Erin Doherty, Ashley Walters, and Owen Cooper, who all sported stylish black leather ensembles while attending the prestigious BAFTA TV Awards on a glamorous red carpet last Saturday.
32-year-old actress Erin, known for her role as Briony Ariston, stunned in a chic, sequined black leather gown. The dress boasted a broad, wire-edged neckline and voluminous, over-sized sleeves.
In a striking glittery black leather number, Erin, 32, who portrays Briony Ariston, was breathtaking. The dress showcased an expansive wired collar and dramatic bell-shaped sleeves.
Both sentences convey the same information but in slightly different ways to provide variety and keep the reader engaged.
The dress she wore had a defined waistline that expanded towards the hem, and it boasted an audacious split along its leg area.
To complete her high-fashion style, Erin pulled back her dark hair into a central part, revealing her heavily adorned ears.
At the glamorous gathering, Ashley, aged 42, exuded timeless charm, stepping off in a stylishly loose leather coat and matching it with sleek black tailored pants.
The actor portraying DI Luke Bascombe had an elegant appearance when he completed his outfit with a neat white shirt and a thick black tie.

Ashley opted for a refined look by wearing large, black leather loafers and a set of square black glasses.
16-year-old lead actor, Owen, exuded elegance while stepping onto the red carpet in a stylish Louis Vuitton bomber jacket for the event’s arrival.
He matched his designer item with fitted black pants, a relaxed black tee, and thick black leather sneakers.
During this past year, the series “Adolescence” created a milestone for British television by being the very first streaming program to take the title as the most-viewed television show in a single week.
Since its premiere on Netflix in March, the drama has gripped both viewers and critics alike, thanks to each episode being shot in a single, uninterrupted take.
According to data from BARB, approximately 6.45 million viewers tuned in for the premiere within its initial seven days.
In simple terms, the viewership for this streaming show is now the highest ever recorded for a weekly audience in the UK, surpassing the 6.3 million viewers who watched “Fool Me Once” on Netflix last year.
As a devoted follower, I found myself captivated by a four-episode series that delves into the life of the Miller family, whose world crumbles when their 13-year-old son, Jamie, is apprehended for the tragic act of taking a classmate’s life with a knife. This heartrending event was reportedly triggered by the insidious influence of online misogyny.

The play captivates spectators by realistically depicting the effects that harmful social media influencers and misogyny can have on impressionable teenage boys.
During the second airing of adolescence, approximately 5.94 million viewers tuned in, placing it as the second most-watched program, just behind BBC’s The Apprentice and Death In Paradise, which garnered third and fourth place respectively.
In terms of viewership, the third installment ranked fifth among all episodes, attracting approximately 5.14 million viewers, whereas the penultimate and last episode drew an audience of around 4.65 million.

For the very first time in its 20-year run, Strictly Come Dancing was not nominated in any category, unlike in previous award events.
Year after year since the relaunch of the program in 2004, this beloved BBC pick has consistently earned a nomination in the Entertainment Programme category.

In the Limited Drama section, Baby Reindeer competes against ITV’s production titled Mr. Bates vs The Post Office. This drama is inspired by one of the most significant miscarriages of justice in British law, where numerous innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were falsely accused of theft, fraud, and accounting irregularities due to a faulty IT system.
In the nomination tally, both Mr. Bates and The Post Office as well as the Disney series Rivals and Apple TV’s Slow Horses each garnered six nods.
Among those nominated for the Best Entertainment Performance category are Ant & Dec, The Traitors, and Stacey Solomon from Sort Your Life Out.

In the illustrious Best Drama category, the gritty crime dramas “Blue Lights” and “Sherwood” will compete against the popular superhero series “Supacell” and the critically-acclaimed historical drama “Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light.
