Strictly Star Saffron Barker Stuck in US After Surgery, Car Crash, and Theft Nightmare

Saffron Barker, known for being strict with her rules, openly shared that she’s currently unable to leave the United States due to a difficult week that included an unexpected emergency surgery. She voiced her predicament publicly online.

24-year-old influencer, currently based in Los Angeles, shared an account of her harrowing experience. It encompassed undergoing a procedure, getting into an accident with a rental vehicle, and tragically losing all of her belongings to theft.

Saffron clarified that one of her belongings was a passport. This means she can’t leave the United States right now because she lacks the necessary travel document to return home.

Recently, Saffron posted an emotional message along with a picture that made her tear up. Here’s what she wrote: ‘Over the past week, I’ve been admitted to the hospital and underwent an urgent operation…’

Unfortunately, the rental car I was using got severely damaged and everything I possess, including my passport, was taken. This means I’m unable to return home at the moment.

She did not explain what her emergency surgery was or why she was in hospital.

In the Instagram Story she posted, you could see Saffron sitting on a dentist chair, her face wet with tears as she tightly held onto a stuffed toy.

The news is disappointing for Saffron, who was recently admitted to the hospital due to rashes and sharp pains, just like a year ago.

In an October health update, Saffron shared that she had been experiencing distressing symptoms, initially leading doctors to suspect it might be a ‘tropical illness’, potentially contracted from a mosquito bite.

After returning from a lovely vacation in The Maldives, Saffron posted a photo of herself relaxing in bed while expressing that she was feeling more like her usual self again amidst her health challenges.

On the picture, she wrote: “So grateful for all your kind messages! Finally starting to feel like myself after a week.

‘The doctors thought I’d caught a tropical disease from a mosquito when I was away.’

In her description of her symptoms, Saffron mentioned that she experienced a variety of issues such as rashes across her entire body, a persistent headache, discomfort throughout her body, sharp sensations within her body, elevated temperature, and a sore throat and ears.

Later on, the YouTuber posted a separate update featuring a photo of their arm connected to a cannula. Saffron clarified in this post that she wasn’t battling a tropical illness, however, she had been dealing with a lower than normal white blood cell count.

After having a blood test, it was discovered that I didn’t have what was suspected, but instead, my white blood cell count was significantly lower than normal. This means my entire body has been struggling to combat any infections.

She posted a video displaying the red patches on her arms, noting: ‘Here’s what the rashes appeared like across my entire body.’

In a recent post, Saffron shared yet another photo of her healing arm, snapped during her bath time, indicating that she appears to be recovering well.

She shared: ‘Today is the first day I have woken up and they are settling so feeling grateful.’ 

In September, Saffron traveled along with a friend to The Maldives, and together they recorded their journey through the beautiful South Asian nation.

Saffron encountered further health issues following a harrowing ski incident in January, which took place on the initial day of her family vacation in the French Alps.

Previously, Strictly shared on her social platforms that she needed help from a rescue squad of emergency skiers during a skiing incident on the mountainside.

The influencer shared a video on both Instagram and TikTok, which depicted her being escorted back to her hotel by the ski patrolling team.

She insisted a ‘story time is needed’ to explain how and what happened before the accident struck.

With a touch of humor, Saffron titled her post: “Apparently, this wasn’t the intended use for this sound. Time for a little tale… #skifails

Regardless of the hiccup she encountered, I found Saffron radiating positivity and joy as she persisted in posting stunning images from her journey.
