Naomi Judd’s Shocking Gunshot at Cheating Husband: The Untold Truth
In my line of work as a lifestyle advisor, I’ve learned that sometimes, life takes unexpected turns. For instance, I remember a time when Naomi Judd found out about her husband Larry Strickland‘s infidelity, which led to a moment of extreme distress. In an attempt to express the intensity of her emotions, she picked up a gun and discharged it in their home, though thankfully, no one was harmed. It was a difficult chapter in their lives, but they managed to navigate through it and continue their journey together.
79-year-old Strickland acknowledged the event discussed in the Lifetime documentary series The Judd Family: Truth Be Told, which premiered on Saturday.
In 2022, at the age of 76, the beloved singer, formerly one half of the Grammy-winning duo The Judds alongside her daughter Wynonna, sadly took her own life.
In the second episode of the documentary series, a discussion about their marriage ensued. It was in 1979 when Naomi initially met Larry, and they got married a decade later. Their union lasted until Naomi’s demise.
In her 1993 memoir “Love Can Build A Bridge,” Judd recounted an incident where a woman phoned their home expressing affection for Strickland. In response, the singer destroyed photographs of them as a couple and threw her husband’s possessions out into the yard.
In the television movie adaptation of the novel, there was a scene where Naomi, filled with emotion over Strickland’s infidelity, pointed a gun and fired it at him, simultaneously accusing him.
In Saturday’s episode, Larry affirmed that it indeed occurred, offering no further details. He simply added, “That’s all I’ve got to say. It did happen.
