Prominent Mexican voice actor Alexis Ortega has died at the age of 38.
Ortega’s cause of death was not immediately announced, TMZ reported.
Ortega contributed to the Spanish-language dubs of Marvel films, most famously voicing Spider-Man (played by Tom Holland) in the 2017 movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.
He first appeared in the role in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War and then returned for Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, according to El Mundo America.
Ortega also provided voiceover work for popular films like Star Wars: Rogue One, Finding Dory, and Big Hero 6, according to reports.
Ortega was born on August 31, 1987 in Mexico, according to the outlet.
He began his entertainment career in 2013, appearing both on screen and doing voice-over work, according to El Mundo America.
Ortega has acted in several television series, including Luis Miguel: The Series, Thursday’s Widows, El Candidato, and The House of Flowers.
According to reports, Ortega was collaborating with MrBeast on a Spanish-language version of one of his videos at the time of his death.
