In this installment, Ncuti Gatwa’s Fifteenth Doctor dropped by his preferred barbershop in bustling Lagos, Nigeria, and got embroiled in a complex mystery that demanded quick wits to unravel.

This was when the trickster Anansi had wagered with the Time Lord to make her marry one of his daughters. The camera then shifted to reveal the Doctor, played by Martin instead of Gatwa, standing where the Doctor should be.

“I was a fugitive back then,” she said. “Anansi was wrong to offer that bet.

“And frankly, darling, I was busy in a different story – that might be finished one day…”
