Keanu Reeves is currently thinking up ideas for a follow-up to the movie “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina”. This upcoming spinoff, helmed by Len Wiseman, sees Ana de Armas in the role of Eve Macarro as she undergoes training to become an assassin at the same academy where Reeves’ character, Baba Yaga, was born. The film takes place between “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and “John Wick: Chapter 4”.
In a chat with Empire Magazine, Ana de Armas – who collaborated with Keanu Reeves on ‘Knock Knock’ and ‘Exposed’ – revealed that the John Wick star had an enjoyable filming process and was considering a sequel. The actor mentioned that when they approached him about the project, Reeves expressed his readiness and has been “very eager” for the movie. De Armas hinted at some “action-packed battles between Eve and Wick” as well as Reeves’ concepts for the upcoming film. Here’s her comment below:
[De Armas’ Comment]
He’s incredibly thrilled about this film. As soon as we contacted him, he jumped at the chance to be a part of it. I’ve collaborated with Keanu on two prior projects, and I honestly didn’t expect him to toss me around nearly as much! The atmosphere was completely different working with him. On his final day, he was already brainstorming ideas for the next project with Len…
What This Means For Ballerina
Eve And John Wick Are On Opposite Sides

In the preview for “Ballerina,” Eve embarks on a renegade mission to seek vengeance for her father, which prompts the Head of the New York Ruska Roma division to summon the Baba Yaga to deal with her. Although the trailer lacked a direct confrontation between Eve and Wick, Ana de Armas has confirmed that there will be intense hand-to-hand combat scenes. Additionally, de Armas’ comments suggest that Eve’s story may not conclude with “Ballerina,” as she remains a marked individual.
In the same interview, Wiseman explained that Eve and Wick are in different mental states; while Wick is attempting to escape, Eve is making errors due to her youth, emotions, and internal anger in this film. De Armas acknowledges these mistakes, stating that they stem from her character’s age, emotionality, and pent-up rage. Neither Wiseman nor Reeves have spoken about a potential spin-off sequel, but John Wick 5 is being developed by the actor alongside director Chad Stahelski. In other interviews, he hinted that the success of Ballerina could influence the franchise’s future direction.
Our Take On Ballerina
It’s Highly Anticipated

It seems like Keanu Reeves enjoyed playing Baba Yaga once more following John Wick: Chapter 4. Despite earlier concerns about the rigors of the role, both physically and emotionally, in relation to a fifth installment, it’s possible that working on Ballerina may have inspired him to continue with the franchise.
Beyond portraying the lead character in the primary John Wick films, Reeves additionally functions as an executive producer for the spinoff TV series of John Wick. The upcoming spinoff, starring Ana de Armas and set to hit theaters on June 6, has generated much anticipation among viewers. Reeves’ evident enthusiasm for the film and his eagerness to further develop the story of From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hint at exciting things to come in the next installment of the John Wick series.
