The new position arises following the disclosure that Sheridan has postponed, possibly indefinitely, the publication of her eagerly anticipated autobiography titled Honestly.

The revealing book served as a deep dive into her most challenging periods, encompassing her fights against alcoholism, mental health issues, and prominent relationships like those with James Corden and Jamie Horn, the father of her son Billy, who is five years old.

Initially unveiled in 2021, the project encountered several setbacks along the way, eventually leading to its termination, as Sheridan decided against disclosing everything initially planned.

According to a source who spoke to The Sun, Sheridan had a packed schedule over the past few years, leaving him without enough time to give the final polish to his book.

Her perspective has shifted, and she isn’t comfortable with the current draft being published. She was uncertain if she was ready to expose her entire life in a book for public consumption.

To followers well-versed in the Olivier Award winner’s persistent challenges, this choice was not unexpected.

2016 saw the actress undergo a very public struggle, as she took on the role in the London stage play Funny Girl.

Due to stress, fatigue, her father’s cancer diagnosis, and worsening mental health concerns, she was required to temporarily step away from the show.

Looking back on it now, Sheridan confessed: ‘I was deeply embarrassed about that phase in my life. I made some poor choices, went out with people who weren’t good for me… Now, feeling more like a mother, I’m incredibly thankful for everything I have. I sense the best is still to come.’

The award-winning actress is always open about her struggles with mental health, frequently connecting these experiences to the challenges of celebrity life and grief.

Her father’s death in 2016 profoundly affected her, leading to an extended period of grief.

In her latest interview, she expressed appreciation for the continuous support she received from the public, mentioning that strangers would approach her on the streets to offer comfort and affection.
