Strictly’s Tasha Ghouri Breaks Silence on Painful Andrew Split: “I Went Into a Cave”

Tasha Ghouri shared that she sought solace in a cave after parting ways with Andrew Le Page on Love Island.

In early 2023, the contestant from Strictly Come Dancing, aged 26, and the realtor, 29, called off their relationship. They had been together since they met on Love Island back in 2022.

Now, she’s disclosed on the White Wine Question Time podcast with Kate Thornton that their split occurred during the UK tour of Strictly, which transpired earlier this year.

Additionally, it was acknowledged that Tasha disconnected herself by switching off her phone, causing concern within her family since they were unable to reach her during this time.

She informed the host: “The split occurred approximately during the tour. To be honest, I merely shoved it to the back of my mind.

To be truthful, I didn’t handle it very effectively during that time. In the initial stages of the tour, news about it somehow reached the media, and unfortunately, I had no say in how it transpired. It seemed like it was everywhere.

In every corner of social media, people were inquiring about the situation and contacting me, asking things like “What’s occurred? What’s happening?” I recall turning off my phone for nearly a week. During that time, I neither sent nor received any messages or texts.

My Mom traveled for four hours to visit me since I hadn’t responded to any messages. I ventured inside a cave, and I was incredibly nervous about emerging from it.

After Andrew decided to stop following Tasha on Instagram, this move occurred following the disclosure about their breakup she made in her recent book.

On a Snapchat session responding to fans’ queries on Monday, it seemed like Andrew made a slight jab at the dancer.

She confided to The Sun: “At the moment, I believe I acted impulsively and prematurely. It was more of an impulse born from a heated moment. We all make errors, and in that instance, I was one of them. I acknowledge my actions.

Simultaneously, the striking woman pondered over her emotional separation from Andrew, disclosing the genuine cause that led to their parting.

She shared: ‘It’s been tough. Any separation is challenging. I spent a considerable amount of time with Andrew; we were a couple for approximately two-and-a-half years. We even shared a home and acquired our dog Luna in 2023. It was truly heart-wrenching, but sometimes people drift apart, and that’s exactly what transpired.’

Tasha mentioned that the pair had no terrible ending whatsoever, instead, they remain connected due to their mutual pet, Luna. They share responsibilities for Luna, effectively co-parenting her.

She continued by expressing her ongoing affection for Andrew, yet admitted they’ve taken separate journeys in life now.
