Overwatch 2 Stadium patch nerfs Zarya, buffs Moira, and more (May 8)

In this new update for the Overwatch Stadium, there have been adjustments made to reduce the power of Zarya and Reinhardt, while boosting the abilities of Moira. Additionally, Ashe, Lucio, and several other characters have undergone modifications.

Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the details of the most recent update for Overwatch 2, specifically focusing on the Stadium map. This latest adjustment impacts characters such as D.Va, Junker Queen, Reinhardt, Zarya, Ashe, Lucio, and Moira.

In the most recent update, adjustments have been made to both Zarya and Reinhardt. The developers noticed that Zarya was performing exceptionally well in higher-level play, so her Weapon Power construction has been scaled back. Similarly, Reinhardt has been excelling in lower ranks, leading to changes in his Impact Burst and Smashing Stadium abilities, particularly impacting his preferred melee and Fire Strike configurations.

In the meantime, D.Va receives several improvements. Given that this tank hero has been finding it tough against Zarya’s beams, the developers are enhancing Defense Matrix Powers and Items to provide her with more assistance. As for Junker Queen, she experiences modifications concerning two Stadium Items intended to weaken her aggressive dives and ability to close gaps quickly.

Overwatch 2 Stadium adjusts Ashe

Starting with the May 8 Stadium update, there will be changes to just one hero who causes damage – Ashe. Specifically, the speed at which her mini B.O.B. attacks is being reduced, making it less menacing in your matches. Furthermore, the damage output of Ashe’s Head Honcho Stadium Power has been decreased. Lastly, the Infrared Lenses Item that you often encounter will also experience a reduction in its damage output.

Regarding Moira, she’ll see enhancements in less frequently used abilities such as Precarious Potency and Destruction’s Divide. On the other hand, Lucio has been performing exceptionally well in terms of healing, so there will be a general reduction in his healing capabilities. However, our beloved DJ support hero will receive boosts to his Sonic Boom and Fast Forward Stadium abilities instead.

Apart from the mentioned changes, the game mode also includes some modifications to Stadium Items in a broader sense. This involves toning down the power of Booster Jets and Nebula Conduit.
