Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas posed for a RACY magazine cover over 40 years before their romance started

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas have been dating for the past six months.

In reality, they’ve been friends for more than 40 years, having met when they were both beginning their acting careers in Hollywood.

She appeared on the popular 1980s show Dynasty alongside Joan Collins, while he became well-known for his role in the prime-time soap Falcon Crest, which starred Jane Wyman.

Now The Daily Mail has dug up a racy magazine cover the actors posed for in skimpy swimsuits.

Heather Locklear, now 64, and Lorenzo Lamas, 68, appeared on the cover of a 1983 issue of Playgirl magazine, posing in a red bikini and black Speedo respectively. Playgirl was designed to be a female-focused counterpart to Playboy magazine.

Lamas recently shared the magazine cover on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his disbelief that it was from 43 years ago. He jokingly added that speedos are available upon request, and included the hashtags #HeatherLocklear, #Playgirl, and #80s.

The magazine cover featured photos of Lorenzo Lamas and Heather Locklear in revealing swimsuits, and the accompanying article suggested they were a couple with pictures of them looking cozy together.

His representative told E! News earlier this week that he’s been dating the Melrose Place actress for several months.

The pair were first spotted together in November at a dinner party during The World’s Largest Disco event in Buffalo, New York.

They were seen together on a date at Barry’s Steakhouse in Las Vegas’s Circa Resort & Casino on New Year’s Eve.

On January 17th, the pair attended The Brave & Rescued Awards at the LA City Fire Museum, arriving and leaving together.

According to TMZ, Heather Locklear spent last weekend getting to know Jack Lamas’ family. They all gathered at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, before having lunch and going to see a movie together.

She shares 28-year-old daughter Ava with Sambora. 

She shared a complicated, on-and-off relationship with her former fiancé, Chris Heisser, for five years, before they finally broke up in 2025.

Meanwhile Lamas has been married six times and has six children. 

He’s dating Locklear less than a year after filing for divorce from his sixth wife, Kenna Nicole, in 2025.

He previously filed for divorce from his fifth wife, Shawna Craig, in June of 2018.

Before his current marriage, Lorenzo Lamas was married four times: to Victoria Hilbert (1981–1982), Michele Cathy Smith (1983–1985), Kathleen Kinmont (1989–1993), and Shauna Sand, a former Playboy model, from 1996 to 2002.

He shares son A.J., 42, and daughter Shayne, 40, with the late Smith. 

Oh my gosh, did you know he has four daughters? It’s amazing! There’s Alexandra, she’s the oldest at 28, then Victoria who’s 26, and Isabella, just 25. And he has Paton, who’s 37 – she’s with Daphne Ashbrook. Seriously, four incredible women! I just adore learning everything about him and his family!

Lorenzo Lamas is most famous for his role as Lance Cumson on the CBS soap opera Falcon Crest, appearing in 228 episodes between 1981 and 1990. He later starred as Reno Raines in the popular TV series Renegade from 1992 to 1997, and also had a minor role in the classic movie Grease.

Over the last two years, he’s consistently appeared in films, including roles in ‘Love in the Clouds,’ ‘Checkmate,’ ‘Stepmom from Hell,’ ‘Prepare to Die,’ and ‘Team of Two.’

Heather Locklear became a worldwide star thanks to her role on the popular TV show Melrose Place, where she played the manipulative Amanda Woodward from 1993 to 1999. She remained a central figure on the show until it concluded in 1999.

The blonde also popped back on the new version of the show from 2009 until 2010.
