Actress Thandiwe Newton, known for her role in “Line of Duty,” will be teaming up with former “House” star Hugh Laurie in Apple TV+’s suspenseful series titled “The Wanted Man.
In the upcoming series by George Kay, who created “Hijack”, we find ourselves focusing on the character of Felix Carmichael, a mysterious and influential figure, who heads the infamous British crime organization known as The Capital.
After a relentless 20-year pursuit, Carmichael is finally captured and incarcerated at the notorious Staplehurst Penitentiary, according to the plot summary.
After getting arrested, the gangster discovers that one of his associates has turned on him, forcing him to devise a bold strategy for an escape if he aims to reclaim authority over his criminal organization.
With the betrayer planning to destroy Carmichael’s accomplishments, our hero stands prepared to take any measure, regardless of the consequences – including returning to a life as a fugitive once more.

Besides Newton, notable actors such as Stephen Dillane from “Game of Thrones,” Fionn Whitehead known for his work in “Black Mirror,” along with Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, and Elliott Heffernan are also part of the cast.
As per Deadline’s initial report, it’s been announced that Newton will take on the role of a single mother, while Heffernan has been cast as her son in this production.
Meanwhile, McKee is believe to play Felix’s wife, while Dillane is said to play his older brother.

In the upcoming second season of Netflix’s “Wednesday,” Newton is set to appear, sharing screen time with Jenna Ortega who plays the main character.
Actress from Westworld fame, recognized for her portrayal of android Maeve, has been announced as a new addition to the cast of Nevermore Academy in an upcoming season. Details about the specifics of her character have not been revealed at this time.
Besides Newton, the second chapter is also welcoming stars like Joanna Lumley, Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, and Lady Gaga.
The Wanted Man will become available to stream on Apple TV+ at a later date.
The first part of Wednesday’s second season will start streaming on Netflix on August 6th, followed by the second part premiering on September 3rd.
