Netflix’s messy but addictive new show storms the streaming chart with debut views of 11.9 million

Netflix’s highly anticipated comedy series, titled “The Four Seasons“, has swiftly climbed up their popularity rankings.

The eight-episode series is modeled after the 1981 romantic comedy with the same title, depicting the lives of six characters – Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Will Forte, Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Marco Calvani – portraying three married couples, as they navigate through a year in their respective relationships.

Over the course of many years, the bond between this circle of friends has been put to the test as a result of one member going through a divorce, which has added complexity to their customary annual vacations.

From spring through the following winter, we witness their struggles and challenges as they navigate the process of aging and drifting apart, as portrayed in this series on Netflix.

On the first day of May, The Four Seasons made its debut on Netflix, quickly climbing to the top spot on their global list of popular English-language series, boasting a total of 11.9 million views since it was first released.

The fifth and concluding season of “You” moves into the runner-up position, having been surpassed by a different thriller that initially held the top position with about 10.9 million views.

In “The Four Seasons,” Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield are the creators and writers, whereas Alan Alda, originally the writer, director, and actor in the film, now functions as a producer.

The show has received generally favorable feedback from critics, resulting in a ‘Fresh’ rating of 77% based on 60 critic’s reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to Digital Spy’s four-star critique, we noted that Fey’s adaptation evokes a classic narrative approach similar to how the original film debuted.

This program offers a cozy experience yet pushes boundaries slightly, catching viewers off guard with an unexpected chill, then returning to the familiar comfort provided by familial bonds, whether they are chosen or not.
