Hannah Brown’s ‘Shocking’ Double Uterus Diagnosis: Bachelor Vet’s Health Revelation

Hannah Brown, the former Bachelorette, disclosed that she has been diagnosed with an uncommon uterine irregularity which impacts merely 0.3% of women worldwide.

On Maria Menounos’ Heal Squad podcast, the reality TV personality shared her experience of discovering she had a double uterus when she turned 30 years old.

She found it incredibly surprising,” God Bless This Mess commented about her health issue, explaining potential future implications on her fertility.

Although Brown hasn’t had the exploratory surgery yet, she described her double uterus as appearing to be connected somehow.

‘It’s just like a split,’ Brown, who is set to wed fiancé Adam Woolard, told Menuonos, said. 

Although the television personality hasn’t reached the point where she desires to become a mother at this moment, she mentioned that her doctor suggested she freeze her eggs for future use.

Brown said after she gets married this year, she ‘will get right on that.’ 

Ladies with a condition called uterus didelphys may face higher risks during pregnancy, including the possibility of miscarriage and premature delivery.

The situation could also possibly impact a woman’s ability to conceive, as some women with it might encounter problems when trying to get pregnant.

I’ve often found myself in awe, for some people, it seems effortless – they conceive with ease and successfully carry their pregnancies to full term. According to the renowned Mayo Clinic, this is indeed the reality for many individuals out there.

Even though there could potentially be some complexities, Brown emphasized that it’s not unheard of for individuals with a double uterus to give birth successfully.

Initially, I was taken aback by the latest developments, but now I find myself thankful for the newfound wisdom as I navigate my path forward.

She expressed her strong desire for having a child, stating that she doesn’t want to forego the opportunity. However, she hasn’t felt fully prepared just yet, and this seems logical to her. Before embarking on parenthood, she wants to get married first, as she feels it is important to accomplish this milestone.

She went on to say, “I’ve never actually been there before, but I feel as though I’ll crave that encounter once the right moment arrives.

In 2021, Brown disclosed in her autobiography that she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 11. She subsequently underwent an operation to remove the tumor.

In the fifth grade, she experienced recurring abdominal pain, so they performed an MRI scan to identify the source. To their surprise, the scan showed a tumor about the size of an egg in her pancreas.

They arranged for me to have a biopsy, and after a brief waiting period, my father received a call about the test results – not from our usual physician, but from an oncologist. The tumor was found to be cancerous. Cancer, specifically pancreatic cancer – one of the most lethal types of cancer out there, she explained.

Nevertheless, Brown found comfort when the oncologist shared that the cancer had not advanced or metastasized.

Hannah wrote: ‘The day of my operation, I wasn’t frightened about what was in store for me. Not a bit,’ she penned. ‘Though my mother wept and my father wore an expression of concern I’d never seen before as the nurses prepared to wheel me into the operating theater, I looked at my mom from my hospital bed and reassured her, “Mama, I’ll be alright.”‘

During the operation, the entire tumor was successfully taken out, sparing her from needing radiation therapy and chemotherapy treatments.

Previously, Brown has openly discussed her struggles with sleep paralysis, narcolepsy, inflammation, anxiety, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). In simpler terms, she’s experienced sleep-related conditions, chronic inflammation, anxiety disorders, and hormonal imbalances.

In her book, she suggested that her narcolepsy might have been a consequence, or a result, of the traumatic event involving the murder of her aunt LeeLee and her two young cousins, Robin and Trent.

Additionally, she has been open about suffering from asthma since she was five. 

In December 2022, during a flight, she experienced such a severe asthma attack that the plane needed to change course (divert) and medical personnel greeted her with a stretcher upon arrival.

She told People that she found herself trembling intensely, desperately reaching for her inhaler, yet unable to draw a breath. She admitted it was an awkward situation.

Brown shared with the media that she often felt as though she spent a significant portion of her childhood in doctors’ offices, balancing schoolwork and games of I Spy.

‘I was a pretty sick kid, catching everything going around school,’ she explained.
