On Monday evening, Rihanna, a regular attendee of the Met Gala, made headlines before even setting foot on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Benefit. The reason? She announced that she is expecting her third child with partner A$AP Rocky.
The famous music and cosmetics entrepreneur showcased her expanding belly in a snug Miu Miu outfit in photos taken at New York City’s Carlyle Hotel, likely on her way to the evening’s main event. Rocky, who is one of this year’s gala co-chairs for the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, had previously walked the red carpet wearing a custom jacket from his own agency, AWGE, inspired by the Marmot jackets he saw worn in Harlem when he was growing up. In an interview, he humorously hinted at Rihanna’s upcoming red carpet look, saying that it probably wouldn’t hide her baby bump much.
This pair, united since 2020, at present share two boys, RZA who is 2 years old and Riot who’s just a year old. As of now, they haven’t disclosed the gender of their upcoming family member.
