16-year-old actor Owen Cooper, from the TV show “Adolescence“, will appear in the music video for British singer-songwriter Sam Fender’s latest single titled “A Little Bit Closer”.
This year, the talented young actor garnered attention with his outstanding performance as Jamie Miller in a popular Netflix series. More recently, it was announced that Cooper will be featured in the music video for Fender’s song “Little Bit Closer.
The track was unveiled in February, appearing on Fender’s album titled “People Watching“. According to the singer, this collection delves into “vibrant narratives and insights about ordinary people leading lives filled with colorful stories and unexpected moments.
On Instagram, the musician shared a sneak peek of Cooper’s role by posting a monochrome picture of the actor, swaddled in a blanket and gazing at the scenery beyond, along with a brief snippet from the completed music video.
As I watched the scene unfold on screen, even with the actor’s back turned, I instantly recognized it was Cooper. Fans are pretty sharp when it comes to these things.
One individual asked, “Is that Owen Cooper?”, whereas another user hinted at Fender’s video featuring Stephen Graham and proposed that the artist collaborate with another star from the show ‘Adolescence’, namely Erin Doherty.
“If that’s Owen, then you just need Erin Doherty in a vid now to complete the set,” they wrote.
Previously, Fender appeared with Graham, who collaborated on the creation of Adolescence and acted in it, in the music video for ‘Spit Of You’ directed by Philip Barantini, which was released in 2021.

I, an ardent fan, couldn’t help but chime in when the director shared sneak peeks of the ‘Little Bit Closer’ music video. Accompanied by a playful wink and a hearty red heart emoji, my excitement was evident on Instagram!
In the upcoming adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel “Wuthering Heights,” by Emerald Fennell, Cooper will portray the role of young Heathcliff. The cast includes Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as well.
Teenage drama “Adolescence” is now available on Netflix. The movie adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” will hit theaters on February 13th, 2026.
