FaZe Clan bench broky after another poor showing at an event
After a disappointing first half of 2025, FaZe Clan has elected to rest one of their players, with broky temporarily stepping away from the team following the conclusion of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025.
The BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 tournament wrapped up not too long ago, but Team FaZe has already made a significant move regarding their roster. On May 5th, they officially announced that Helvijs “broky” Saukants would be moved to the bench from the starting lineup.
FaZe Clan bench broky
A short while ago, the FaZe Esports X team shared an update stating that player broky has been temporarily moved to the bench from the main roster. However, they noted that he still belongs to the FaZe organization as they consider different opportunities for him in the future.
Despite FaZe not performing as expected up until 2025, Broky’s departure from the team remains unexpected, given that he was the second strongest member following their mid-tier finish in BLAST Rivals Spring (5th/6th place). Throughout the 6 maps played during this event, Broky maintained a positive kill-to-death ratio.
Since January 2025, when Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski became a team member, there hasn’t been a significant shift in FaZe’s tournament performances. Their most impressive result so far was securing third place at PGL Bucharest.
With the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 just around the corner, FaZe Clan finds itself needing a substitute player. Despite broky being benched, he remains on the team roster. However, it appears extremely improbable that they will reinstate him for the upcoming tournament. As of now, there’s no word on who they might be considering as his replacement. Although plenty of guesses have been made, nothing has been officially confirmed.
Based on the rules, the last day for players to be added to the Major tournament roster is May 5th. So, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out who the new member of FaZe will be.
Sadly, Broky’s extended tenure with FaZe temporarily concludes. It’s uncertain whether he’ll rejoin the team in the future; that detail is yet to be disclosed. Stay tuned for updates on their roster and Broky’s situation when further information emerges.
