Can You Guess the TV Star Unrecognizable with Whitney Houston in Throwback Pics?

On Saturday, a widely recognized television personality posted nostalgic photographs on Instagram to commemorate a significant anniversary, and in these photos, she bore little resemblance to the legendary singer, Whitney Houston.

Currently at the age of 81, this individual was captured next to the renowned singer as they divulged a backstage perspective on the making of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

In 2012, at the age of 48, Whitney passed away in California. The medical examiner’s findings suggested that the renowned singer, who battled substance addiction, tragically drowned in her bathtub due to a mix of heart complications and cocaine consumption.

To mark the 38-year milestone of the song, this famous figure shared an old photo from 1987, depicting her at age 43, clad in a black sweater and yellow corduroy pants.

Her brunette locks was cut into a short pixie look and she opted for a no-makeup look while on set.

In the presence of her, Whitney was taken aback while donning her famous, striking combination of pink and blue eye shadow.

With her hair styled to be fuller and adorned with pink blooms, Whitney appeared joyful, giving the camera a radiant grin.

But can you guess who the other celebrity is? That’s right, it’s Arlene Phillips.

next to the image, Arlene wrote: “Celebrating the release of ‘Wanna Dance with Somebody’ on this day in 1987, here are some beloved behind-the-scenes photos from filming the music video. Incredibly, it has accumulated more than 500 million views on @youtube.

‘I never dreamed at the time my choreography could be seen by so many @whitneyhouston’

Apart from that, Arlene posted a classic monochrome photo showing Whitney making final adjustments to her makeup prior to filming the legendary music video.

In conclusion, Arlene shared a touching tribute with a picture of Whitney, beautifully dressed in a little black dress, stylish black pumps, and large hoop earrings.

Arlene collaborated with Whitney on the choreography and creation of two of her most popular songs – “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “How Will I Know.

Back in the vibrant year of 1987, I found myself yearning to dance with somebody, and that longing was fulfilled in early May. It was on the 23rd of that very month that this heartfelt desire echoed across the airwaves as the song made its debut on the charts.

For two straight weeks, it held the top spot on the UK music charts. Additionally, it remained within the top 10 for eight consecutive weeks. Moreover, it stayed in the top 100 for a total of 25 weeks.

The tune achieved significant commercial popularity, ultimately reaching number one on the charts for her – marking it as her initial Platinum single in the United States.

It went on to win Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female at the 30th Grammy Awards.

George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam, the duo behind “How Will I Know,” penned this tune as well, while it was skillfully produced by Narada Michael Walden.

In 2012, Whitney Houston tragically lost her life, and three years afterward, her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, suffered a fatal incident related to drugs in her home in Georgia.
