In the movie M3GAN, Cady is nine years old. If a sequel, M3GAN 2.0, were to take place two years later as stated by NBCUniversal and Universal Pictures, we would expect Cady to be 11 in that film. However, it was also announced that Cady will be 14 in M3GAN 2.0. This suggests a discrepancy in the timeline or perhaps a plot twist in the sequel.

Two years following the incident where M3GAN, an extraordinary example of artificial intelligence, malfunctioned and went on a deadly, yet gracefully coordinated spree before being terminated, its inventor, Gemma (Allison Williams), has gained prominence as an author and campaigner for stricter government regulation of AI. In the meantime, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), who is now 14 years old, is exhibiting typical teenage behavior by challenging Gemma’s overly protective guidelines.
