Holly’s Netflix Nightmare: Show AXED?!

The popular TV host, Holly Willoughby, is facing a significant setback as her recently launched Netflix series titled “Celebrity Bear Hunt” might be canceled.

The follow-up season of the jungle exploration TV series, set in Costa Rica, remains unapproved following numerous discussions.

According to recent reports, the popular show may need significant budget reductions in order to continue airing, potentially leading to pay cuts for its hosts Holly, aged 44, and Bear Grylls, aged 50.

We are looking into finding a more affordable venue, and we plan to reduce the number of high-profile celebrities following the inclusion of personalities such as Mel B from the Spice Girls and tennis champion Boris Becker in the initial season’s lineup (consisting of 12 stars). Holly has gained significant recognition for co-hosting This Morning with Philip Schofield from 2009 to 2023, and additionally serving as the host of Dancing On Ice since 2006.

Consequently, fans of Holly won’t find her on ITV anymore, as no official announcement about her signing up for another project with the channel has been made yet.

ITV suffered a significant setback as Holly declined an attractive offer to host a revival of the beloved game show You Bet! due to prior obligations.

According to a source, viewers were so enamored with ‘You Bet’ that they yearned for two more episodes. Consequently, ITV executives chose to air the show in its entirety.

‘Holly and Stephen are a great double act and they were both brilliant so they were asked back.

‘But Holly politely declined, she has other commitments and couldn’t make it work.

She’s highly sought-after, no longer bound by her commitment to ‘This Morning’ four days weekly. Now, she can explore a wider range of opportunities, some of which are on a global scale.

The Celebrity Bear Hunt marked a significant milestone for her as it was her debut project with Netflix. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and the team appreciated her equally, suggesting potential for more collaborations in the future.
