Exclusive BTS Photo: Daisy Ridley Celebrates Star Wars Day with a Smile!
On this year’s Star Wars Day, Daisy Ridley, our beloved star, surprised fans with an exciting sneak peek. She posted a picture taken backstage during the filming of “The Rise of Skywalker,” showing her in character from an intriguing angle.
On her Stories, shared at the Star Wars Cantina, Ridley recently posted a picture from The Rise of Skywalker, saying “Happy Star Wars Day to all who partake!” The image seems like a selfie, showing Ridley grinning in her dressing room with various outfits hanging behind her. This photograph marks her latest contribution to the Star Wars franchise, following 2015’s The Force Awakens and 2017’s The Last Jedi.
Ridley Scott gained prominence by playing Rey, a scavenger left on the arid planet Jakku as an infant, who eventually joined the Resistance, learned Jedi skills alongside Leia Organa, and is now a central figure in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Originally introduced in the film The Force Awakens, Rey has since been featured in numerous video games, books, and television shows.
2023’s Star Wars Celebration unveiled that Ridley, post wrapping up the sequel movie trilogy, is set to star in a future Rey-focused film by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. There are whispers that the story will unfold 15 years after “The Rise of Skywalker,” with Rey working on rebuilding the Jedi Order. As of now, no official release date or additional specifics about the Rey movie have been disclosed.
Ridley Remains Grateful to the Star Wars Franchise for Launching Her Career
When Daisy Ridley entered the Star Wars universe in 2015, it was during a significant transition period for the beloved pop culture phenomenon. The Force Awakens marked the first Star Wars movie not heavily reliant on George Lucas, who sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2013. Despite the fact that fans’ view of Rey has evolved favorably over time, Daisy Ridley’s debut in the Star Wars saga initially faced online criticism – yet she remains thankful for everything the film series has brought into her life.
Inside a convention hall filled with genuine Star Wars enthusiasts, you’ve never encountered a group more united in their affection for this universe.
Time hasn’t altered my sentiments… Frankly, I believe Star Wars has expanded my options. That’s why I hold the career I do.
Ridley’s Star Wars sequel trilogy movies can be streamed on Disney+.
