White Lotus Stars Aimee Lou Wood & Walton Goggins Reignite Friendship After Instagram Drama

It seems like there’s been a resolution between Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins, who starred together in White Lotus, following several months of rumors about their supposed disagreement.

In the recent season of HBO’s series, the actors enacted the tragic pair, Rick and Chelsea, as ill-fated lovers. Tragically, their on-screen characters met their ends in the climactic final episode.

It seems there may have been some tension or changes in their relationship, since last month it looked like Walton and Aimee were no longer interacting on Instagram by unfollowing each other.

Some spectators pondered if Walton might have hidden Aimee’s comments and likes on his previous posts, implying she could have been blocked by him.

Now, it appears they’ve resumed following one another, leading some White Lotus enthusiasts to speculate that they may have reconciled their disputes.

Last month, there were whispers among fans suggesting he may have muted or unfollowed her, as gossip swirled regarding their possible altercation or disagreement.

Her comments and ‘likes’ on his old posts seemed to have vanished, but Walton’s earlier comments on Aimee’s posts remained visible.

Based on information from Instagram’s Help Center, a user’s comments and likes will be removed when they block another user on Instagram.

If you choose to hide someone’s presence on your account, their likes and appearances in your photos and videos will no longer show up for you. However, once unblocked, they won’t regain access to the likes or comments they made before being blocked.

Aimee Lou, who boasts an impressive 2.6 million Instagram followers, has been actively posting backstage photos and resharing content from her fellow cast members during the third season. Additionally, Walton has been contributing his own reminiscences from the set as well.

In their social media posts, they’ve tagged all their fellow actors with excitement, except for each other.

They are both still following all the other cast members from the show.

During the interview this week, Walton repeatedly disrupted the flow thrice when questioned about the rumored conflict with her by abruptly changing the topic.

During an interview with Ed Porton from The Times, he steered clear of discussing Aimee, as the conversation veered away when he tried to broach the subject of his fellow actor.

Initially questioned about his connection with Amy, Walton came across as serious and stated plainly: ‘I won’t discuss that topic.’

One publicist chimed in, “We won’t be going there,” and another shifted the discussion forward during the interview.

Ed brought up the topic of their friendship again by asking if Aimee will attend Walton’s Saturday Night Live show next week, implying that perhaps a reconciliation could be on the horizon.

However, Walton remained silent, leading his representative to propose a conversation instead focusing on his forthcoming film, The Uninvited.

Ed continued to bring up the topic of Aimee, but Walton firmly stated, ‘Let’s not discuss that. Discussing politics on social media…it feels like talking into an empty room.’

In a last-ditch effort, he tried to elevate his fellow actor’s status, but Walton retorted sharply: “What in the world, Ed! Let’s go, pal. Incredible,” and their representatives swiftly concluded the interview.

The conflict between Walton and Aimee seemed to escalate further when Amy cried following an “unpleasant and humorless” SNL skit on Saturday night.

In the show that aired last month, Amy’s smile was caricatured using oversized false teeth. Interestingly, Walton was seen appreciating a video of this on social media.

Regarding the SNL video posted on their social media platform, Walton responded with laughter, saying “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.” It’s uncertain whether his reaction encompassed the whole sketch or specifically the segment about Amy.

It comes amid reports the two are expected to reunite soon for a professional obligation.

Entertainment reporter Elizabeth Wagmeister mentioned on The Viall Files podcast that she found out, off-the-record, they will collaborate on a professional project within the next few weeks.

In essence, if there truly is a dispute between them, it seems it hasn’t prevented them from… It appears they can manage being in the same space, Wagmeister suggested, implying that this rift might not be as intense or dramatic as other reported feuds, such as the one between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

During the shooting process, Walton and Aimee frequently reciprocated their actions, and they exchanged comments, some of which featured a fox emoji. This has sparked curiosity among fans, who are now pondering about the possible meaning or reference behind these interactions.

In July 2024, Aimee shared an eye-catching selfie, which was followed by Walton’s comment: “You’re a sly fox – both inside and out.

In response to one of her other posts, he said, “You’re the most radiant light in any room, truly a person among people. I miss you, with two fox emoticons added.

On another post, he wrote: ‘Next level this is. I could watch you all day. So excited to watch.’

Spectators have proposed that the fox emoji, similarly employed by Aimee Lou in her previously deleted remarks on Walton’s updates, might serve as a secret code or shared understanding between them.

The fox symbol is frequently employed to suggest that someone has acted sneakily or intelligently, or alternatively, to describe someone as ‘cunning’ and attractive.

In a HBO Max interview featuring Aimee Lou and Walton, they were asked hypothetical questions about reincarnation, specifically what animal they’d become if given another life. Both actors shared their choice as a fox, explaining that this animal embodies their true essence.

At the February debut of The White Lotus, Aimee Lou carried on the playful reference by donning a bespoke Burberry dress adorned with a fox pattern.

Multiple rumor-based websites on the internet have shared anonymous stories allegedly involving the duo, sparking discussions and fueling suspicions that they might have had a disagreement.

Currently, Reddit, TikTok, and X are buzzing with discussions centered around potential reasons for their off-screen disagreement or misunderstanding.

One user shared on Reddit: ‘I feel like no one is talking about the falling out of them?

‘About two weeks back, they stopped following each other on Instagram. Since then, Walton has been sharing content related to The White Lotus series, tagging everyone except Aimee Lou Wood. He even posted a heartfelt tribute to the show, yet didn’t mention her in it. Interestingly, he has shared numerous pictures of her in his story as part of his tribute to the show. So, one might wonder if there’s some sort of issue between them.’

One user marveled: “It’s hard to believe, but Aimee Lou Wood follows a whopping 5,160 accounts on Instagram, yet there’s no sign of Walton Goggins among them!

On X, one viewer weighed in on an album of behind-the-scenes photos Walton had posted to Instagram.

‘Walton Goggins not tagging Aimee but tagging everyone else… WHAT HAPPENED,’ they wrote.

Some fans found it particularly puzzling that Walton seemingly shared a heartfelt collection of pictures with Aimee on his Instagram Stories, accompanied by a well-known breakup tune.

As a devoted follower of pop culture, I found myself utterly captivated when Walton Goggins recently shared an Instagram story featuring 18 stunning snapshots of him with Aimee Lou Wood, accompanied by the timeless melodies of Fleetwood Mac’s Silver Springs. It’s hard to put into words just how taken aback I was by this charming visual narrative!

Since 2001, Walton has been wedded to his wife, Nadia Conners. Together, they have a 14-year-old son named Augustus.

During some parts of the movie shooting, the actor’s relatives accompanied him in Thailand. They appeared in a photograph taken at the beach alongside the actor and the entire cast.

Although Walton and Aimee haven’t publicly discussed any disagreements in their backstage relationship, other cast members have suggested tension during the seven-month filming period in Thailand.

Jason Isaacs, known for portraying the turbulent family patriarch Tim Ratliff, has been particularly vocal about his experiences on the set of “White Lotus,” describing it as a mix between a summer camp and “Lord of the Flies,” but in a luxurious enclosure.

He shared with Vulture that some relationships deepened while others faded, creating both friendships and losses. As the series mentions, ‘Whatever happens in Thailand, stays in Thailand,’ but beyond the screen, there’s a backstage ‘White Lotus’ with less lethal incidents, yet equal amounts of intense drama.

Without mentioning specific individuals, Jason stated, “I grew particularly close to certain people while distancing myself from others. Nevertheless, we all shared that common experience, and there’s an understanding of confidentiality that needs to be maintained.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, the British actor clarified his earlier remarks by stating that the filming process was not as joyful as some may have perceived.

‘While friendships were formed, we weren’t like one harmonious, happy community. Instead, we were a large gathering of individuals, disconnected from our usual routines at home. I won’t delve into specifics, but it’s safe to say this wasn’t a vacation.’

Aimee Lou openly discussed her challenges during filming, describing it as a “restricted” and “similar to the social experiment in The Truman Show.

The British actress confessed that the high emotions stemmed from the short space between portraying Chelsea and finishing her filming, as there wasn’t much distance between the two.

Typically, when you finish wrapping up (packing or preparing), you go back home. However, in this case, after wrapping up, you take five steps into your room. Since you’re living at the filming location, it feels reminiscent of The Truman Show – a situation where one begins to wonder if anything is genuine. Everything seems to be like a stage set.

She added: ‘I can see why the performances in the past two seasons are strong; the boundaries become quite unclear and things feel quite confining, which makes relying on one another essential for maintaining sanity. It’s almost as if it’s like Big Brother, but with a cast of Hollywood actors – it feels really strange.’

As an over-the-moon fanatic, I found myself forming unbreakable bonds with some of the cast members, particularly the radiant Leslie Bibb. We became inseparable, even sharing a room and going on adventures together during our downtime from shooting scenes.

Although she strived to maintain a social life amidst the demanding filming routine, Walton opted for a more systematic approach during the production process.

On the companion podcast for the series, the actor mentioned that he chose to stay secluded on the filming location, which was partially due to his role in the production.

Working alongside 18 individuals daily, coupled with a room filled with chairs that seemingly belong to these coworkers, who frequently find themselves in emotional states distinct from mine, proved challenging… Generally speaking, I usually find myself seated apart from them.

‘He tends to spend time alone, pursuing his own interests… Yet, he found it impossible to be with others. They failed to grasp why he was present. This individual is secluded… And let me tell you, it wasn’t enjoyable at all to detach oneself from a group in that manner. It was incredibly difficult.’

On their day off, Walton reminisced about the time when Aimee preferred not to join in his ‘less than positive’ vibe outside of filming. Instead, she opted to socialize with the younger members of the cast.

In the same vessel, I found myself tense due to the apprehension of boarding. You see, I have an inherent dislike for confined spaces, which makes me claustrophobic. And it turns out that Rick shares this trait as well.

Instead,

“I decided to spend the night right at the bow of the ship. The sight was breathtakingly beautiful, but I intentionally emanated a strong aura of negativity, which made others avoid me.

At a certain moment, Aimee, without any intention of being unkind, leaned close and simply commented, ‘You know, you’re not very lively. I’d rather be with Patrick and the others’, which I found incredibly relieving, as it perfectly reflected how I felt about her.
