Frank Lampard Shares the Surprising Secret Behind His 10 Years of Happy Marriage with Christine

Frank Lampard has revealed the secret to his happy marriage with his beloved wife Christine.

Since October 2009, the ex-footballer and current television host, both aged 46, have been a couple. They tied the knot in 2015.

This year marks their tenth wedding anniversary, and Frank has taken time to ponder the factors that have kept their bond robust over the years.

In an interview with The Mirror, he shared that what sustains them both is their mutual support and shared ability to find humor in situations. They share a similar sense of humor.

In a similar vein, Christine and I often share similar thoughts as she’s quite perceptive. Consequently, we tend to find ourselves chuckling at the same scenarios – I firmly believe that shared laughter plays a crucial role in fostering a harmonious marriage.

In the year 2009, fellow TV host Piers Morgan presented Frank with his wife for the first time at The Pride of Britain Awards.

Previously, it was acknowledged that Christine and the footballer were unexpected attendees at the awards event where they crossed paths.

On Lorraine’s show, she mentioned: “It’s quite unusual because when we first met ten years ago, it was a night neither of us should have attended.

He had to handle something urgently at the last moment, which caused me to arrive late at the awards. During the event, we found ourselves seated at adjacent tables.

In September 2018, they joyfully announced the arrival of their first shared child, a baby girl named Patricia. The name was chosen to honor his dear mother who sadly passed away in 2008.

Apart from Frank, he also shares two daughters – Luna who is 19 years old and Isla who is 17 – with his ex-partner, Elen Rivas. However, they parted ways back in 2008.

Last month, Christine shared an honest perspective about their relationship, explaining that Frank often broke their plans whenever Chelsea lost their matches.

Although they had been married for a decade, the beginning stages of their relationship weren’t always smooth, as Frank often felt discouraged due to his performances on the field.

On the Loose Women podcast, Nadia Sawalha mentioned that he would often forgo social outings if Chelsea hadn’t won when he was still part of their team.

We might suggest going out for dinner or drinks, but he would simply refuse, stating that he doesn’t feel like going. He seems upset and doesn’t want to discuss his reasons.

‘It was like he needed to kind-of decompress, and then he was ready to go again Monday morning.

However, there were numerous instances when he found himself thinking, ‘Not again, not this time,’ and would feel self-disappointed if events didn’t unfold as expected.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve found that in challenging times, like the ones Frank is going through, it’s crucial to offer support in meaningful ways. It’s not just about lending a hand, but also creating an environment where people feel understood and valued.

It’s fascinating how Gareth Southgate recently emphasized the importance of men supporting each other. This resonates with me, as I believe that camaraderie and empathy are key to navigating life’s ups and downs together. So, when it comes to Frank, I strive to be there for him in every way possible.

The experience deeply connected with me as Frank had gone through similar situations in football, emphasizing the importance of camaraderie – a team, a community, or a circle of people who stand by you during challenging times, even when you’re unsure of your strength and are struggling to maintain it on certain days.

However, it’s hard to convey this to everyone as they might not fully grasp it,” and “Yes, this was always something that I found myself being extra cautious about when it came to him.

In addition, the broadcaster shared her belief that the key to their long-lasting marriage with Frank lies in the fact that they continue to be each other’s closest friends.

She mentioned that they remain inseparable friends. He would undoubtedly be the one she’d call first to resolve any issues. What truly matters to her upon returning to her passion for humor is his ability to make her chuckle.

To me, it’s incredibly meaningful – I need to find humor… We genuinely laugh a lot. Our perspectives align on many topics.

As a committed partner, I find harmony rather than discord when it comes to our approach towards parenting and managing our household. We seem to share a common wavelength, which in turn ensures a smooth and harmonious flow in our living situation.

The underlying principle is that we have love for one another, we have each other’s best interests at heart, and we’re always there to lend support. If he proposes a task or project, we’ll find a way to make it happen together.
