Tom Cruise reveals the surprising way he prepares for jaw-dropping Mission: Impossible stunts

Tom Cruise shares his methods for getting ready to perform the awe-inspiring stunts found in the Mission: Impossible films.

This summer, Ethan Hunt will make his eighth appearance in the action-packed movie titled “Mission: Impossible – The Last Call“, offering even more heart-stopping stunts.

The main highlight from the preview is this scene: Tom Cruise gliding across the wings of a biplane, soaring majestically over the mountain ranges.

To the folks, Cruise explained his preparation routine for filming intense scenes. He confided that he typically indulges in a large breakfast.

To power up for my wing-walking performance, I put in an incredible amount of effort. So, to fuel myself, I often consume a hearty meal that includes sausages, nearly a dozen eggs, several strips of bacon, toast, coffee, and plenty of fluids. Needless to say, I’m always eating!

“Picture: It’s cold up there. We’re at high altitude. My body is burning a lot.”

Additionally, Cruise shared that the idea for this daring stunt has been with him since his childhood, sparked by ancient clips of individuals performing wing-walking.

There’s one big difference in the old footage and the Final Reckoning scene, however.

He mentioned that the other planes were cruising at around 40-50 mph. In contrast, this plane can reach speeds of more than 120 mph.

The performer mentioned that he’s always honing his craft and acquiring fresh abilities, aiming to exhibit these talents on the big screen someday, be it playing the piano, mastering dance moves, or piloting a helicopter.

“I will learn a skill, and I know eventually I’m going to use it in a movie,” he said.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning opens in UK cinemas on 21 May.
