If you’re not already familiar, it’s a tactical worker placement game, initially released by Lookout Games in 2013. It garnered numerous positive reviews and awards soon after its debut. I’m thrilled that it’s now playable on mobile and PC devices, with refreshed rules based on the board game version.
In this game, you have the freedom to fell trees in forests, excavate tunnels within mountains, decorate your cave with different chambers, craft tools and weapons, and manufacture a variety of items using the resources you gather. Each choice matters significantly: should you prioritize mining precious stones and minerals or focus on raising livestock?
Explore the Solo and Multiplayer modes and switch between looks
In the Solo setting, you can challenge AI adversaries, while Multiplayer presents an option for competition against 1 to 7 human players, either simultaneously or at different times. One captivating aspect I appreciate is the flexibility to toggle between the traditional board game aesthetics and a revamped 3D interpretation.
The game appears extremely engaging and puzzling, featuring gameplay aspects such as Autonomous Resource Generation, Worker Deployment, Replay System, options for single-player, local, and multiplayer experiences, intelligent AI opponents with distinct personas, regular challenges, and rankings – plus much more!
The cave exploration game, Caverna, is accessible on Android, iOS devices, and personal computers. The game costs approximately $11.99 for purchase. You can easily download it from Google Play Store or the App Store according to your device.
