Sophie Mills’ New BF Looks Just Like Drew Starkey!
Love Island star Sophie Mills has hard launched her new relationship with a mystery man.
Last year, the 22-year-old celebrity from reality TV rose to prominence on the dating show where she was caught up in a romantic entanglement involving cast members Zane Prophet and Dylan Towolawi. Unfortunately, this love triangle resulted in disappointment for her.
Currently, it seems this stunning woman has definitely left the past behind, as she introduced her latest companion on TikTok yesterday. However, viewers found it hard not to notice a striking similarity between her new boyfriend and American actor Drew Starkey.
Sophie posted a lovely compilation video featuring herself and her recent partner, accompanied by this caption: ‘Experiencing the joy of finding someone who treats you as you’ve long imagined.’
The video showcased multiple brief moments of Sophie appearing affectionate with her new partner, as they hugged, kissed, and shared enjoyable experiences.
A multitude of individuals rushed to comment, suggesting that the enigmatic figure bears a striking resemblance to the 31-year-old actor Drew from Outer Banks.
‘You ate with the Drew Starkey dupe Sophie,’ someone wrote.
‘I thought it was Drew Starkey,’ another said.
In response, a user chimed in, “There’s an uncanny resemblance between him and Drew Starkey – it’s quite flattering!” Another enthusiastically agreed, “Absolutely, girl! He definitely shares a striking similarity with Drew Starkey.
Drew, born as Joseph Andrew Starkey, is a well-known American actor who initially made his mark appearing in the films “Love, Simon” and “The Hate U Give,” where he took on secondary roles.
As for me, my most significant on-screen character portrayal so far has been that of the troubled teen, Rafe Cameron, in the popular Netflix show, Outer Banks.
Last year, he starred in Luca Guadagnino’s romantic drama film Queer.
In the past year, Sophie gained notoriety on Love Island Australia, but she had already amassed a significant fanbase on TikTok prior to being selected for the Nine series.
In 2023, Sophie, who was already a registered nurse, was seen as a vibrant individual. Interestingly, she had narrowly failed to secure a spot on Love Island that year.
She said the type of men she usually went for were athletes, namely NRL players.
Sadly, Sophie experienced a disappointing end to her Love Island journey as she departed the Villa alongside Dylan. However, their relationship didn’t last long, as Dylan soon rekindled things with his former partner, Mimi Paranihi, leaving Sophie heartbroken.
In December, Sophie shared with Nine.com.au that after departing from the Villa, we often spent time together. Since many cast members were based in Sydney, I frequently visited, and it seemed like there was a hint of something developing between Dylan and Mimi, she mentioned.
It appears they aren’t in an official relationship yet, but they are considering the option. Should anything romantic develop between Mimi and Dylan, I wouldn’t blame anyone for it.
I wouldn’t make anyone face a choice between friendship and love, unless their behavior was deceitful, disrespectful, or unconventional. So far, I haven’t encountered such a situation.
