Meghan Trainor reveals what Ashley Tisdale texted her after ‘toxic’ mom group drama

Meghan Trainor has shared an update on where she stands with Ashley Tisdale following disagreements within their moms’ group earlier this year.

Tori Tisdale, 40, recently shared an essay about feeling excluded from her mom group. She ended her involvement with the group by sending a text message saying she didn’t want to participate in what felt like high school drama anymore.

Meghan Trainor, 32, who is thought to be friends with the people involved, says there’s no bad blood between them.

Oh, my heart just ached for Ashley! Seriously, seeing her so down was awful, and I just think everything was a big misunderstanding. I don’t know all the details, of course, but I really, really hope they can find happiness, you know? I just want everyone to be okay!

The Made You Look hitmaker also said the former High School Musical star apologized to her.

Ashley sent me a text apologizing for my name being brought up in the drama. I replied, telling her it was okay, that people just love to gossip and the world is a bit chaotic anyway.

Amid the internet turmoil, Trainor made light of the situation with a playful TikTok video.

She shared a video of herself working at her computer with a coffee, captioning it with a comment about discovering some drama within a moms’ group.

The atmosphere was set to her song “Still Don’t Care,” the first single from her upcoming album, Toy With Me.

Trainor told the outlet she hasn’t seen Tisdale or her other mom friends in a long time.

She playfully admitted she hadn’t kept up with her mom friends for about a year, ever since she treated everyone to dinner to make up for being distant.

Tisdale’s inflammatory essay discussed leaving her posse of mom friends, at length.

I learned the hard way that mom groups can become surprisingly negative. It’s not that the mothers are bad people, but the group environment can easily turn competitive and mean-spirited. I’ve experienced this firsthand.

The former Disney star shared that she felt excluded because some of her colleagues had group chats and get-togethers she wasn’t part of.

In her essay, she shared her feelings of being left out, explaining that she initially felt like she belonged, but later questioned whether that was actually the case.

I felt hurt when I wasn’t invited to a few get-togethers, and it was especially painful because Instagram kept showing me pictures and stories from them.

I remember being at one of her dinner parties and realizing I was always seated at the very end of the table, away from everyone else. It was becoming clear that they weren’t including me, and I was starting to feel left out.

Besides Taylor Trainor, reports suggested that Hilary Duff, Gaby Dalkin, and Mandy Moore were also no longer friends with the actress.

Trainor is currently promoting her seventh album and will be hitting the road on a tour called the Get In Girl Tour to support it.

The music artist announced the birth of her third child, a daughter born via surrogate, in January.

I’m overjoyed to share that our sweet baby girl, Mikey Moon Trainor, arrived on January 18th, 2026! We’re so grateful to our amazing surrogate, who truly is a superhero, for making our dreams come true.

She expressed deep gratitude on Instagram to the doctors, nurses, and teams who helped make this possible.

She later explained why surrogacy was the best option for her and husband Daryl Sabara.

Okay, so she finally talked about it! Apparently, it wasn’t the path they originally planned, but after SO many talks with their doctors, this felt like the safest way to have another baby. Honestly, I’m just so relieved they found a way, and she said they’re unbelievably thankful for the option. It just makes me so happy for them!
