However, when Bleeding Gums took his final bow, we witnessed a side of the show that tackled the heavy, poignant subject of death with a delicate touch and profound thoughtfulness. Unlike a passing joke, Bleeding Gums’ farewell was handled with the respect and solemnity it deserved. And unlike other significant events in the series that often fade into the background by the next episode, his death left an indelible mark on Lisa, shaping her in ways that resonated deeply.
