Spilt Milk Festival Returns With Kendrick Lamar and Doechii Headlining Epic 2025 Lineup
Aussie festival fans are rejoicing with the line-up announcement for the 2025 Spilt Milk Festival.
This week, organizers of the nation’s largest one-day music festival announced their return in 2023, bringing relief to fans who were disheartened by the festival’s absence from 2024 onwards.
On Friday, Spilt Milk unveiled their impressive lineup on social media, featuring two globally recognized hip-hop artists as headliners, aiming to outdo themselves.
Kendrick Lamar, who recently thrilled audiences at the Super Bowl halftime show and has multiple Grammys to his name, will take center stage alongside American rapper Doechii during all four festival dates.
Currently, Florida artist Doechii is enjoying success following the achievement of her song “Anxiety” reaching the top spot in Australia’s music charts.
The announcement arrives following Drake, a competitor of Kendrick, taking legal steps after his Down Under visit, accusing the artist behind Like That of staging a defamatory Super Bowl performance.
An impressive array of artists will join us, such as Sarah Landry, Dominic Fike, ScHoolboy Q, d4vd, Nessa Barrett, Sofia Isella, Skin On Skin, sombr, Rebecca Black, The Rions, South Summit, and numerous others.
Festival fans took to social media to issue their joy over the impressive lineup.
One fan exclaimed, “You truly deserve a huge hug!” Another echoed, “I’m screaming, crying, and losing my breath over this – oh my goodness!
1. One person exclaimed, “Wow, you truly exceeded expectations with this! So proud,” while another labeled it as the most impressive Australian festival lineup in a long time.
2. One commented, “Impressive job, you really delivered! I’m so proud,” and another hailed it as an exceptional Australian festival lineup compared to recent years.
3. Another person expressed, “You truly outdid yourself here; I am incredibly proud,” while someone else called it the best Australian festival lineup they’ve seen in a while.
4. One individual said, “You really knocked it out of the park! So impressed,” and another praised it as an outstanding Australian festival lineup in recent memory.
5. A person shared their thoughts, “You truly exceeded expectations; I am so proud,” and someone else proclaimed it as the standout Australian festival lineup in recent times.
‘This is THE LARGEST Lineup I have seen for an Australian festival in YEAAARSS,’ they exclaimed.
‘Ya’ll really waited a year to take GOAT status like that huh?’
Many people advised the organizers to carefully consider the placement of Kendrick and Doechii on the upcoming lineup, given their unique musical styles.
The fan requested not to play Kendrick and doechii simultaneously, but the organizers assured them that they wouldn’t have conflicting performances. (In a more conversational tone: The fan asked not to play Kendrick Lamar and doechii together, and the organizers confirmed there would be no schedule conflicts.)

On Thursday, organizers revealed the comeback of the festival and posted a video showcasing the best moments from past editions of Spilt Milk, accompanied by an enthusiastic message.
Summer Spillout is officially happening! Join us in Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and Gold Coast this coming December.
‘Lineup droppin’ crazy soon, sign up in link in bio to get it to your inbox.’Â
The festivities are due to begin in Ballarat on December 6, marking the start of an incredible lineup of performances.
On December 7, the celebrations will take place at the Claremont Showground in Perth, with Canberra hosting them on December 13, and the Gold Coast following suit on December 14.
These dates signify a revisit to some beloved locales of the festival, offering the opportunity for music enthusiasts to unite once more.
There’s a lot of excitement and speculation among fans as they wait for the upcoming announcement of what’s expected to be the team or event lineup in the near future.
In previous events, we’ve had an exceptional lineup of artists such as Post Malone, FISHER, Khalid, Lorde, Flume, and Latto, making sure that every year offers premium quality performances.

In 2024, the festival took an unexpected break, leaving many wondering about its future.
In July, it was cancelled in a major blow to Australian music lovers.
It was the latest in a series of festivals to be cancelled as the industry endured a tough year.
The organisers broke the sad news on Instagram.Â
I’m sorry, sweet Pookies, but we weren’t able to secure the Spilt Milk you were hoping for this year. For a while, I’ll need to disappear and return when I can fulfill all your dreams. I miss you already, xx SPILT MILK.
Spilt Milk 2023 was headlined by Post Malone and Dom Dolla.
It was unclear why the festival was called off, however others struggled to sell enough tickets.Â
Last year, events such as Splendour in the Grass, Groovin the Moo, Falls Festival, Caloundra Music Festival on the Sunshine Coast, Coastal Jam in Victoria, and Vintage Vibes Festival in Adelaide were all called off.
Audience members felt disappointed when Spilt Milk got cancelled, yet they took comfort in hints indicating its return the following year.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel that a temporary hiatus might be the better choice for you all rather than releasing an underwhelming lineup. My heartfelt wish is that you’ll make a triumphant return next year, ready to blow us away!
Another was shocked that ‘a festival that sells out every year, can’t even go ahead’.
