Overwatch 2 Stadium will get endorsements in Season 18 plus new heroes and other features.
In this update from the current Overwatch director, we get a sneak peek into the future of Stadium. Accompanying a plan for upcoming heroes, it has been confirmed that endorsements will make their debut in Season 18. Here’s what you need to know about Stadium endorsements and other exciting developments in Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2 Stadium endorsements
As a gamer diving into Stadium lately, you might’ve observed that the gameplay lacks the endorsement feature. Normally, upon wrapping up a battle in modes like Unranked or Competitive, I get the chance to endorse my teammates and adversaries. The sweet sound of an endorsement coming through is quite gratifying, and hitting endorsement level 5 is a cool badge of respect on my Overwatch 2 profile that I’m proud to flaunt.

As a passionate follower, I’ve noticed that since the Stadium doesn’t currently offer endorsements, players have been expressing their thoughts about this missing aspect. Some enthusiasts on Reddit have voiced their nostalgia for giving and receiving these interactions. Meanwhile, others on the Blizzard Forums seem to believe that the feature might be experiencing some technical difficulties.
For all the stadium games we’ve played, neither myself nor my teammates have encountered the option to endorse products.
Under the new leadership, it was clarified that what appeared to be a problem wasn’t an issue after all. In fact, they announced that the endorsement function would make its debut in Overwatch 2 Stadium during Season 18.

New Overwatch 2 Stadium maps and features to arrive later
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to be on the brink of Season 16, but it’s important to note that endorsements won’t be making their appearance in the game mode just yet. Nevertheless, there’s an exciting mid-season patch on the horizon, which promises to enrich our Stadium roster with Freja.
Looking forward, Season 17 is shaping up to be a fantastic season. We can expect the addition of Esperança and Samoa maps, as well as the ability to share and save Stadium builds. Plus, we’ll get to enjoy custom Stadium games and other exciting features!
