Despite no clues suggesting the type of woman Affleck preferred following his marriages to two well-known actresses, it was recently revealed by a source to DailyMail.com that Angelina Jolie had long been a secret admirer of Affleck for years.

It was mentioned that Ben frequently found her extremely attractive and respects the way she manages her career. Furthermore, it was noted that he considers Angelina as both intelligent and remarkably impressive due to her ability to direct films as well as act in them – a skill set he himself possesses too.

However, there’s no indication that she’s looking to get back into the dating game yet.

On Wednesday, there was a reported sighting of her former spouse, following a dispute concerning the sale of their $68 million matrimonial residence, which they are currently in disagreement about.

In Los Angeles with his son, the actor sported a relaxed yet fashionable layered ensemble, featuring charcoal pinstripe trousers, a white button-down shirt, and a cardigan in an oatmeal hue.

Affleck finished his look by putting on a casual cashmere jacket in a soft cream color that had pocket patches, and he chose a pair of stylish taupe leather derby shoes to wear.

Over the past year, there have been allegations about disagreements between the star and Lopez concerning their Beverly Hills property that’s remained unsold for close to a year.

Last week, it emerged that the ex-partners hold contrasting views regarding the necessary actions for selling their luxurious property.

Last summer, the actor who played The Accountant 2 placed his expansive property on the market, but so far, no purchaser has been found.

In May 2023, Ben and Jennifer, who finalized their divorce back in January, made a cash purchase of a property for approximately $60.8 million.

Yet, according to reports from TMZ, Affleck seems keen on reducing the house’s price, whereas Lopez appears unwilling at this point, even though there’s been little demand for the property.

Some realtors are advising the outlet that they believe the listing price of $68M for the marital home should be reduced by at least 15%, as it is currently considered too expensive for a sale to occur.

A representative shared with the press that the two celebrities had likely paid too much for their property, boasting a total of twelve bedrooms and twenty-four bathrooms.

On the other hand, those individuals with sufficient funds are actively seeking bargains in the market as they aim to buy homes within that price bracket.

The cost of insurance is increasing, with experts suggesting that yearly insurance for a Beverly Hills mansion might amount to approximately half a million dollars.

In January, devastating wildfires swept across Southern California, causing a significant increase in the cost of fire insurance.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Jennifer’s rep for comment. 

An additional source shared with Us Weekly that ‘Jennifer believes they could secure a higher price for the property, hence her preference to maintain the current asking price. However, the real estate market isn’t favorable right now, and the house isn’t selling as expected.

Ben is looking to dispose of it as his divorce has concluded, and he wishes to sever all connections completely. He’s eager for this matter to be resolved, intending to sell it. His aim is to lower the asking price.

When the two stars put their house up for sale, a source additionally shared with the media: ‘They are eagerly looking to offload it.’

‘Ben especially wants to be done with the house. He was never happy there,’ they continued.

The house spans an astonishing 38,000 square feet, leaving Ben and Jen with an unsettled feeling rather than a sense of belonging. Since they don’t often have their children living with them, the vast size of the house feels overwhelming for just the two of them.

Last August, a month following the listing of the house for sale, Lopez and Affleck faced difficulties in finding a purchaser, even though they had carried out significant improvements and renovations.

The following month, the stars faced a devastating blow after they accepted an offer on the estate.

At one point, TMZ reported that a New Jersey couple had extended an offer worth $64 million to Ben and Jennifer. Unfortunately, they decided to cancel the deal because a member of their family had passed away.

After finalizing their divorce, Lopez and Affleck settled their property matters, but the specifics of the deal remain confidential.

Over the recent weekend, Lopez unintentionally disclosed on Instagram that she continues to live at the mansion.

In one of the roomy bathrooms at home, the singer from On The Floor took a swift selfie using a mirror, capturing her moment.

Jennifer wore a tiny grin, accompanied by a casual outfit consisting of denim overalls and a turtleneck in a warm shade of brown beneath it.

The contrasting views on the estate sale recently emerged, following what appears to be a hint dropped by the Good Will Hunting actor regarding the reason behind the breakdown of his partnership with the performer.

In the year 2022, Ben and Jennifer got married, however, in August of 2024, Lopez initiated a divorce proceeding, marking their second wedding anniversary.

Last week, during a talk show on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, he discussed his forthcoming movie titled The Accountant 2.

In a conversation about his character Christian in the film, Affleck remarked, “Those closest to our hearts can make us the most frustrated. The comedy stems from that connection.

Previously this month, Ben shared an unexpected development about his post-divorce relationship with Lopez, four months since the finalization of their split.

During the premiere of The Accountant 2, he offered his remarks and disclosed that Max and Emme, who are now 17 years old, were also present with him.

Last week, on April 25, his latest movie titled “The Accountant 2” made its official theater debut. The reception so far has predominantly been favorable, earning a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 77%.

In simple terms, Ben will be handling the directorial duties for the upcoming Netflix crime thriller titled “Animals,” while also appearing on screen in this production.

Other stars in the cast include Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, Kerry Washington and Adriana Paz. 

The movie, co-produced by Affleck and his friend Matt Damon, is currently being made, and a launch date remains undisclosed at this time.
