Paulina Porizkova’s 60 and Loving It
Paulina Porizkova revealed the part of her body that she has grown to love more at age 60.
As a top model, she admitted that she was brought up to present an image of beauty closely tied to youthfulness. However, she is now choosing to accept and celebrate her aging process.
In a Harper’s Bazaar interview that came out on Monday, she shared insights about what she finds most enjoyable during the process of growing older, not long after celebrating her significant birthday by donning a swimsuit earlier this month.
She discussed her revitalized collaboration with Estée Lauder, a partnership that started more than three decades ago when she was their spokesmodel in her twenties. Now, she aims to promote the concept of embracing aging positively.
And she added that her favorite part of getting older was her hair.
‘I love my gray hair,’ she admitted to the outlet.

She went on to say, “It needs upkeep, surprisingly enough, but I must admit, I really love my hair.
In discussing the Swedish-American model, they highlighted the most rewarding aspect of growing older, which can be described as reaching a point where you truly embody the person you were destined to become.
She added: ‘And perhaps that’s not always a happy finding.
If you strive to embrace the idea that others’ well-being, relationships, and love are significant, you may find that you won’t be dissatisfied with the genuine self you ultimately discover.
Additionally, she shared with the media outlet her feelings of age now that she celebrated a significant birthday recently during this month.
Every passing year only serves to sharpen my mind, deepen my understanding, and refine my spirit. Thus, while I may not physically feel any younger, the wisdom and intelligence I’ve gained certainly make me feel like a more enlightened version of myself – so much so that sometimes, I can’t help but feel like I’m 60!
When asked what makes her feel lively and youthful, Porizkova humorously referred to herself as a “viral internet phenomenon” or simply a “meme.
She replied with a hint of optimism. Asked about nurturing hope, she suggested practicing gratitude. While it might seem cliché, as if from a popular quote on social media, there is some truth to it.
She responded positively. When asked about fostering hope, she recommended expressing gratitude. Though it may sound like something you’d find in an Instagram post, the advice does carry some weight.


Porizkova explained: “Having experienced a phase in life where I completely lost all hope, I can empathize with what it feels like to be living a life that doesn’t suit you.
In my expertise, I cannot stress enough the indispensable nature of hope. When it’s absent, it strips us bare, leaving an emptiness that is truly disheartening.
She likewise referenced a comparable idea she had discussed in her 2022 memoir titled “No Filter: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful”.
She stated, “If you maintain hope, believing that things will improve tomorrow, then you possess that optimism.
I am optimistic, and for some time, I’ve harbored the belief that tomorrow will bring improvements. Now, I find myself filled with appreciation as each day seems to get a little better.
She also previously talked about another aspect of aging she likes in her post-menopausal years.

In an interview with People in October 2023, she noted that as one grows older, there’s a decreasing concern about others’ opinions.
You seem to be expressing that after giving so much to others for half a century, it’s finally time for you to focus on yourself and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
At that point in time, she additionally expressed her confidence, stating unequivocally, “I am certain beyond any shadow of a doubt that I have never been better than I am now.
‘Why do I need improvement? I’m in my prime right now,’ she continued.
I apologize for any misunderstanding, but let me clarify that my wrinkles do not diminish my prime or vitality. Instead, they are a testament to my life experiences and maturity, making me a fully realized woman at the peak of my abilities.
