Makeup Review: The best brand you’ve never heard of is having a massive sale right now
There are numerous makeup brands available, making the choice of trying something fresh often feel daunting. Sometimes, it’s simpler to stick with what one already knows. Yet, during a casual scroll through Instagram Reels, an unfamiliar name piqued my interest – a small business called Hex Baby Beauty.
Initially, the product demonstrations and numerous color options appeared almost too perfect. For my initial purchase, I opted for just one split-liner pallet, which turned out delightful. The colors were intense and durable. I became captivated. What truly distinguishes these liners from others is their water-activation feature. This means you’ll require a brush (or several) and a small spray bottle to apply them. Once applied, the creative potential is boundless. Look forward to sharing details about my second order soon.
The Pros
Hex Baby Beauty stands out as a company owned by women and committed to inclusivity, welcoming all members of the LGBTQ+ community and those with disabilities. Not only do they show this commitment through their products, but each order comes with a thoughtful resource card offering support for mental health and domestic violence issues, demonstrating genuine concern for their customers’ well-being. To top it off, my items were delivered in a compact black drawstring bag, nestled within the main shipping package.
The Cons
I have just one issue to address: the delivery took close to a month. Given that I was buying from a smaller store, it’s understandable there might be some delays. In fact, I was notified about the delay through an email due to various reasons. All in all, considering the exceptional quality of the products, this minor inconvenience seemed worthwhile.
Deep Dive on Order Number Two
For my second purchase, Hex Baby Beauty is offering a 75% discount, so I stocked up on their split eyeliner palettes, picking up 15 of them. Additionally, I bought four tubes of their body paint, a wing liner stamp, and one single liner cylinder. Each split eyeliner palette has a catchy name; some of my favorites are Outstanding Oranges, Rabid Reds, Passion Pink, and Deep Daring Greens.
Nearly every color patch I applied surpassed the previous one, with the exception of Oracle’s single line shade which appeared silver but was extremely faint when applied. Everything else was exceptional. I didn’t purchase their product that they’re particularly famous for, a 64-liner pallet. Yet, I might include it in my next order of three items. In summary, I wholeheartedly endorse this brand and strongly suggest you give it a shot; you won’t be let down.
