Tejo nerfs and the replay system are finally coming to VALORANT
At last, VALORANT has unveiled its replay feature, as well as adjustments to Tejo’s abilities and modifications designed to lessen the excess of skills used during games.
At long last, the moment we’ve all been eagerly anticipating – the arrival of the replay system in VALORANT this very year! Not just that, but it seems our favorite agent, Tejo, is getting a much-needed nerf in patch 10.09. It feels like the cosmos themselves are conspiring to make things fall into place for us fans.
Replays in VALORANT
Unlike several other games, like League of Legends, VALORANT doesn’t have a built-in feature for players to review their gameplay sessions. But following significant requests from the community, Riot Games has declared they will integrate this functionality into the game. Anna Donlon, who heads the VALORANT studio, confirmed that the replay system is planned for September. This month also hosts the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025, taking place in Paris, France.
In the updates outlined in version 10.02, data miners found icons designed for players to utilize within the VALORANT replay system, including pause, camera follow, and playback settings adjustment. With these replays, you’ll now have the ability to revisit your top gameplay moments.
Tejo nerfs
Besides sharing a positive update, Ana additionally disclosed that Tejo will undergo a balancing adjustment soon. According to Riot Games and the gaming community, Tejo’s rockets were excessively powerful and challenging to counteract. In her statement, Anna explained, “We’re reducing some of his rocket’s power and making him more comparable to other Initiators.” These changes will be implemented in patch 10.09.
In her statement, Anna acknowledges that the game currently experiences an overabundance of abilities, and this situation has been significantly amplified by Tejo’s release. She further mentioned that some modifications will gradually be implemented throughout the year, with major adjustments planned after Champs. Anna concluded by hinting that they would share more details about these alterations in a video scheduled for June. Therefore, we can expect to receive additional information regarding these changes soon.
