Poppy Delevingne’s Pregnancy Body Struggles: Inside Her Style Evolution

Poppy Delevingne confessed that she finds it challenging to adjust to the physical changes her body undergoes during pregnancy, in anticipation of the arrival of her firstborn.

38-year-old model found out she was expecting when she realized her garments were becoming snug during fitting sessions for the Burberry show at London Fashion Week in September.

Yet, she admits that she hasn’t fully adjusted to the continuous modifications in her physique over these past months. She laments that she was one of those who struggled most with dressing during pregnancy.

Poppy will debut a fresh fashion partnership with Nobody’s Child, drawing inspiration from her personal style throughout the years. Each item in the collection is labeled with names of her cherished friends and relatives.

When chatting with Grazia, the socialite mentioned that her fashion sense has become more subdued in her thirties, contrasting with the diverse, vibrant style she embraced during her younger years.

In my twenties, I used to wear a variety of outfits without much thought. Now, I prefer a simpler, more streamlined look. I’d like to believe that my fashion sense has grown and developed over time.

Yet, she confessed that ever since becoming pregnant with her businessman partner Archie Keswick, she has been finding it difficult to choose outfits as her body shape has altered.

Poppy mentioned that she may currently rank among the least stylish during pregnancy. After six months, she’s still grappling with her body undergoing changes.

I find it fascinating, yet at the same time, it’s a bit like, ‘Well, this is intriguing – having different breasts.’ I think I’ll understand it better in my final month, by which point it will have passed. I’m doing my best to adapt.

Previously, it was announced that she and Archie are having a baby girl. She mentioned that her sisters Cara and Chloe are eagerly anticipating becoming aunts, further stating, “Having another girl to join our family feels like a cherished wish coming true.

In an interview with Elle in January, Poppy shared that while she would have been thrilled with any baby’s gender, given her family background of only girls, learning she was expecting a daughter brought an extra special joy to her.

She stated: “She is truly everything I’ve longed for. It’s clear that I would have managed with any outcome, but once we had the chance to discover, we chose to do so.” Previously, when I was younger, I assumed that if I ever became pregnant, I wouldn’t learn about it, but as soon as we were given the option to find out, we did.

‘I’m so excited. I come from all girls, we’re very girl heavy. Girls are great.’

Poppy and Archie decided to keep their thrilling secret hidden for about four months, sharing it with friends and relatives at that time.

The individual confessed that she was quite anxious regarding her pregnancy and wished to safeguard it temporarily.

She shared that it felt incredibly fortunate and unbelievable to have the opportunity to give birth at her age and in the present moment. When it actually occurred, she found it hard to accept.

For quite some time now, Poppy harbored the dream of establishing a family. However, in more recent years, she began to believe that this aspiration might remain unfulfilled for her, and found acceptance in that possibility.

She shared that her sisters were overjoyed upon learning the news, further stating: ‘It’s such an incredible honor to be in a position where I can do this – have a baby at my age and at this moment in time. And when it happened, I was taken aback by disbelief. It still feels incredibly unreal.’

Recently, she joyously marked her upcoming motherhood with an extravagant baby shower filled with her dearest friends and relatives last week.

The bash was jointly arranged by Violet Von Westenholz, who is also known as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s matchmaker, featuring pink and white blooms, balloons bearing the name ‘Peanut’, which is a loving nickname for their unborn child, candles, oversized flamingo decorations, and a cake illustrating Poppy in the act of giving birth.

The attendees were a mix of well-known figures such as Ella Richards, the model daughter of Keith Richards, Alexa Chung, Jaime Winstone (an actress known for her family ties to Ray Winstone), Lady Clara Paget, and fashion stylist Sophia Hesketh.

With her dear sisters Cara and Chloe, along with their loving parents, real estate developer Charles and philanthropist Pandora, present, there was an added delight when Cara made her entrance unexpectedly.

She went public with her relationship with billionaire Archie, 44, at BTS Hyde Park in July 2024.

He’s the offspring of Simon Keswick, a previous manager of the vast Hong Kong corporation Jardine Matheson, which controls the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

As reported by The Sunday Times Wealth Ranking, Archie boasts a privately-held wealth approximated at around £6.35 billion. In the year 2021, he was romantically linked to Sienna Miller, an old acquaintance of Poppy’s.

While Poppy was previously married to aviation businessman James Cook for eight years. 

In 2014, they got married at St. Paul’s Church in Kensington, London. The wedding was attended by celebrities like Alexa Chung, Georgia May Jagger, Princess Beatrice, and Suki Waterhouse.

Last September, Poppy finally spoke up about their separation, expressing that she will maintain a positive connection with James moving forward.

She expressed: “There’s an abundance of love and regard between us, but it simply wasn’t functioning anymore. We met when I was 20 years old, and over the course of 15 years, that’s quite a lengthy period… In my opinion, spending 15 years with someone is a remarkable achievement.
