Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster’s Sweet Copenhagen Tour Moments Caught on Camera
On Tuesday, Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster were seen twinning in adorable coordinating outfits in an Instagram post, as she accompanied him during his tour in Copenhagen.
At the Hotel d’Angleterre, the capital city’s hub, the couple savored a taste of home while lounging on the balcony, indulging in their beverages.
Rock icon Rod, 80, sported a thick cream sweater and space grey chinos at the five-star hotel.
He put on a pair of high-tops, white sneakers with a silver chain bracelet, styling his signature long, blonde hair in messy waves.
Simultaneously, Penny, who was 54 years old, presented a fashionable appearance wearing a coordinated outfit and allowing her golden hair to flow freely for their evening outing.
The pair showed affectionate behavior, holding hands sweetly, as they savoringly spent their time together, delighting in each other’s company.
She captioned the post: ‘Back out on tour – together again.’
They enjoyed the city’s attractions and snapped a lively photo of themselves near the statue of Robert Wadlow, the record-holding tallest man, standing at an impressive 8 feet 11 inches before his passing in 1940.
As I prepare for my global adventure, I’m gearing up to commence my world tour this coming Saturday in Dortmund, Germany. Over the next seven months, I’ll be gracing stages in Europe, North America, and South America, with Glastonbury Festival also on my itinerary. It’s going to be an incredible journey!
Penny is now accompanying him as they begin his tour, having just shared insights about the challenges she faces in managing a combined family with her husband’s kids, which includes her stepchildren.
The musician known for “Maggie May” has eight kids from five separate partners. Two of these children, sons Alastair (aged 19) and Aidan (14), were born to his third spouse, Penny.
Besides him, Rod is also father to Liam (age 30) and Renee (age 32), who were born during his marriage with model Rachel Hunter (age 55). On the other hand, Kimberly (age 45) and Sean (age 44) are children from his earlier marriage to actress Alana Stewart (age 79).
Besides Ruby, age 37, from a past relationship with model Kelly Emberg, aged 65, Rod also has an older daughter named Sarah Streeter, who is now 61 years old. She was brought up by her adoptive parents, Gerald and Evelyn Thubron.
On the Loose Women podcast, as Coleen Nolan and others discussed blended families, Penny shared her thoughts on joining Rod’s life when his children Liam and Renee were still young. She empathized with how challenging it likely was for them to have another woman enter their lives after their parents’ divorce.
In reaction to a caller, it was clear that she objected to her former spouse taking their kids on vacation with his new partner and offspring.
Penny shared insights from her journey of becoming a stepmother, saying: “With five mothers involved, it’s more like a mix or blend”, and further elaborating: “I made sure to consider how it might feel for the biological mother when I was with Rod’s children.
‘At the tender ages of five and seven respectively, Liam and Renee were young and easily influenced. Considering the challenging situation they found themselves in, having their parents divorce and subsequently encountering a new woman, I can’t help but empathize with their struggles.’
She noted: ‘Perhaps I aimed for them to realize that dad was content. If I turned out to be the one who brought happiness to dad, and he continued to communicate with mom while making joint decisions on important matters, it was simply about walking carefully.’
Penny enjoys a wonderful bond with every child of Rod, and it’s common for the entire family to vacation together.
Unfortunately, they faced a heartbreaking event as their cherished young family member passed away earlier this month.
Nicole, Rod’s daughter-in-law, shared the sad news that her elder sister, Christina, had tragically passed away at the tender age of 38. It should be noted that Nicole is wedded to Rod’s son, Liam.
On Instagram, Nicole, aged 30, posted pictures of her and her raven-haired sibling who resembles her. In the caption, she wrote: “My beloved elder sister ascended into heaven, and I’m struggling to navigate life without her. She has been my closest companion all through our lives.
‘My guardian angel of a sister who was always there for me. She managed to make every person around her feel valued, cherished, and secure. She served as the bond that tied us all together. Christina, my heart is filled with immense love for you.’
‘You loved big. You nurtured. You protected. And family was absolutely everything to you.’
Christina Artukovich lived in Los Angeles, near where Nicole and her husband Liam reside.
Ice hockey player Liam is the son of Rod and his second wife, New Zealand supermodel Rachel.
Nicole noted that every single day, she would reach out to all of us via FaceTime and text messages numerous times a day. Now, it’s hard for me to envision my life without these regular connections.
Dear Christina, my affection for you is profound. Together, we’ve nurtured a beautiful bond through our shared Beans. I am immensely grateful for your presence in our lives. The mother you were and the boy you raised are sources of immense pride for me. We now have Roko, a testament to your love, for which I am deeply thankful.
As an overly-devoted admirer, I was among those who swiftly conveyed my condolences upon the news of your loss. On your post, I expressed my deepest sympathies, ‘My heart – for you and your family. Rod’s wife Penny added: ‘So heartbreaking. Sending all deepest condolences.’
The singer’s former spouse, Alana, who was married to him from 1979 to 1984, expressed her condolences: “I am deeply saddened. May God bless you and your loved ones. I send you my love and prayers.” ❤️
Liam likewise expressed his affection on Instagram by saying, “Beans… my dear sister-in-law… You were one of my closest friends, perhaps even my closest friend apart from my wife. I adore you and I really miss your presence. Watch over us from up there.
