Sydney Sweeney and Brandon Sklenar Sparked Romance Rumors at Stagecoach Festival

In the wake of Sydney Sweeney surprising fans by reconciling with her former fiancé Jonathan Davino, the renowned actress has been observed exhibiting a warm rapport with yet another one of her colleagues… but let me clarify, it isn’t Glen Powell.

27-year-old Zendaya, who stars in Euphoria, recently graced the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California for a span of three days. During this time, she could be spotted enthusiastically joining in with Creed’s performance on stage as they played their music.

In a popular TikTok video shared by user @lelaniivette, it was noticeable that Sweeney’s The Housemaid costar Brandon Sklenar was among the spectators.

In the video, Sweeney was seen bobbing her head from side to side, singing along to the tune, while gazing upward at the actor from “It Ends With Us,” who stood tall with a hoodie covering his head.

The viral TikTok video (posted on Sunday), watched more than 1.5 million times, has ignited speculation about a budding romantic relationship between the two stars, both of whom are featured in the film version of The Housemaid, alongside Amanda Seyfried.

According to a trusted insider, fans might want to hold off on shipping Sweeney and Sklenar together, as it seems they won’t be romantically involved anytime soon, based on the latest information from DailyMail.com.

According to a source, Sydney and Brandon are presently spending time together, unwinding, having a good time at Stagecoach, and socializing amicably with other friends.

To clarify, the source pointed out that the viral video doesn’t provide the complete picture as Sklenar has been in a relationship with his girlfriend, Courtney Salvilo, since 2020.

The 1923 actor met the personal trainer on the dating app Hinge amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The source stated that Brandon and Sydney are not developing a romantic situation, and neither have they planned for a casual encounter.

Brandon feels disappointed that the current narrative isn’t favorable for him, as it seems to portray him in an unfavorable light. However, he maintains strongly that his relationship with Sydney is strictly platonic.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Sweeney and Sklenar for comment. 

Previously, there have been whispers of romantic involvement between Sweeney and one of her co-stars. Most notably, speculation swirled around her relationship with Powell, who played her love interest in Anyone But You, during the filming of the Netflix romance in Australia back in early 2023.

In April of that year, rumors about a possible relationship between Powell and Gigi Paris began to spread rapidly, as it was discovered that they had quietly ended their relationship. At the same time, Sweeney was already engaged to her long-term partner, Davino.

In a later admission, Sweeney and Powell confessed they deliberately fueled the speculation about their relationship to generate interest in their upcoming romantic comedy.

‘It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want,’ Sweeney told Variety in August 2023.

Currently, it appears that the actress playing Madame Web is following a familiar pattern and generating similar buzz around Tessa Thompson (Sklenar) prior to the December 2025 theatrical premiere of The Housemaid.

In January, she and Sklenar attended a performance of the Broadway show “Cult of Love”. This outing sparked speculation among fans that they might be romantically involved.

Then in March, Sweeney shared an Instagram post with Sklenar showcasing their off-screen chemistry.

The video displayed Sweeney grinning playfully as Sklenar lifted her, demonstrating his power, effortlessly placing her on one of his shoulders.

The carousel post, labeled by her as “sweet as pie,” contained a picture of Sweeney and Sklenar enjoying themselves and participating in various games during an apparent date at the amusement park.

Sweeney openly discussing her ‘marketing approach’ might prove beneficial to her former partner Davino, as they were seen together at their Florida residence only a week ago.

Images show Sweeney, with her 41-year-old self-made businesswoman status, cradling her new dog, Sully, as they stroll together.

Yet, Sweeney didn’t show any signs of affection publicly and her hand remained without the sparkle of an engagement ring.

In January, the ex-partners chose to go their own paths, having been together for seven years. They officially announced their separation in March.

After the confirmation of their separation, a source informed People that Sweeney feels ‘completely content’ now that she has ended their wedding plans.

Most individuals might find themselves swamped by Syd’s workload this year, but that’s hardly the case with Syd. Instead, she thrives on work and is brimming with enthusiasm for all her ongoing projects.

She isn’t prepared for a permanent commitment yet. Their relationship managed to last due to the difficulty she faced in ending it, they noted.

They parted ways not due to a lack of love, but because she currently prioritizes her professional advancement above all else.

Sweeney and Davino began dating in 2018 when she was 20 and he was 34, and got engaged in 2022.
